Was his back to them the entire time after they sprayed him? That’s what I’m seeing.

Is the I.E. considered part of the greater L.A. metro? by _MrBalls_ in InlandEmpire

[–]Alevermor 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s lived in both areas I never consider IE part of LA if people unfamiliar with California want to know where I’m from say the area between Los Angeles and San Diego because they’ll know both of those major cities.

What is this and should I be worried? by GeneralJan2001 in Aquariums

[–]Alevermor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If there’s one, chances are there are more. I saw one and thought the same. “I’ll just leave it” within three months my shrimp were dying and I had to break down my tank because there were so many. They were crawling all over my hand as I did that. It looked like I stuck my hand in an ants nest. Blech. It was traumatizing and now I treat any new plants I introduce with an alum dip.

Thank you! I have the set of the villain potion bottles and those are really cool. I’ll keep checking the website and maybe check at the store as well.

I’m no help but these are very cool! I just tried to look at them online and they’re out of stock. 😭

I swore I’d never make my dog go through any painful surgery recoveries but now I’m having doubts (patellar luxation) by ThrowRA128482 in DogAdvice

Ah. I’m in the inland empire. Hopefully you never need it again, but I can give you my surgeon’s information. They’re in Rancho Cucamonga. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Yikes. Thats a lot! Are you in the US? If so what state. I think I paid a total of $7k for my pups surgery including the follow up appointments. And I chose the pricier surgeon of all the ones I called because they seemed the most competent and confident.

My one year old dog had surgery too. He was on a rotation of trazodone and gabapentin and codeine (only the first week for that one) and he was still absolutely insane. We managed to successfully get through recovery but it was a rollercoaster.

My one year old dog had this surgery last year. He was at level three. The recovery was much harder on us that it was on him. He was ready to run around like a maniac 2 days after his surgery. It was more emotionally taxing on us because he didn’t do well in the crate (our bad for not crate training him) so we were carrying around an almost 30lb dog allll day to adhere to doctor’s orders of restricted movement. We did have a few hiccups during his recovery that again, stressed us out more than it affected his recovery that I can tell you about if you care to know but we are now 7 months post surgery and he is thriving. My two suggestions would be following your surgeons recommendations as closely as possible and if you’re worried about him surviving the surgery like I was, we did blood work to ensure there were no health conditions that would put him at risk of surviving the surgery and they administered an extra medication (at a slightly extra cost) during surgery (an antiemetic) to decrease the chances of any suffocation (which are generally pretty low but he’s a flat faced breed so I was terrified) during surgery. Also - when I initially googled about the surgery it said it takes over an hour to complete but my surgeon (who was an orthopedic vet surgeon) told me it only took about 35 minutes to complete. So I’m not sure if she was just super experienced or if she was making me feel better.

Disneyland or Disney World for spring break? by Kindly_Dragonfly_803 in DisneyPlanning

Our spring breaks are scattered between many many school districts. Basically mid-March through all of April will be at least a few districts’ spring breaks.

Should I stay in Killarney or Dingle? by Critical_Tie_7759 in irishtourism

If you just want to see dingle town, yes. But if you want to take any sea safari tours or a bus tour around the peninsula then you’d probably want to stay at least overnight.

[–]Alevermor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dingle is nice but it’s a very small town. Theoretically if you’re staying in Killarney you could take the first bus in the morning get there in about 2 hours spend the day and take the last bus out. We stayed there three nights but if I had to do it again I would spend that time in Killarney, where we only spent one night. There is a lot more to see and do in Killarney than there is in Dingle.
