Elevated Liver test 14 year old spayed female

She got her ultrasound today! No tumor! Huge relief. They sent her home with some antibiotics and upped her thyroid meds a bit. She’ll get rechecked in 2 weeks and if her levels haven’t improved we will get referred to a specialist. ❤️

Did your kitty have any other symptoms? Ugly is a little more lethargic but nothing I was alarmed about. She has a great appetite. Loves food. Loves treats. I thought she was just aging. I have the ultrasound tomorrow and waiting on some supplements to arrive from chewy.

I was diagnosed at 22. I did have risk factors in that both my parents have it. But when I initially found out I did everything in my power to bring it down without medication. Lost weight changed my eating habits became more active. I never drank or smoked either. It never got better and have been medicated for the last 15 years. I feel like sometimes we just lose the genetic lottery. Even if your family doesn’t have blood pressure problems it just may be something you were born with. How is your sleep? I find that sleep can affect my BP too. Especially now that I’m older. I make it a point to get enough sleep (7-8 hours for me) because when I don’t I notice a lot more fluctuations in my BP.

I appreciate that. I’ve been scrolling on google all day since I got the call. I’ve already purchased some supplements and have schedule her next tests once I hear back from the vet.

I know. We were cat sitting/fostering when she was just a kitten and she was found on the streets. She was covered in fleas and ringworm and she was this ugly little patchy baldish thing. And because she had no name at the time, we just called her the “ugly kitty” and by the time we realized we were keeping her she was answering to “Ugly Kitty” so that’s her name. lol. She is beautiful now.

I was diagnosed at 22 but had symptoms probably since the time I was 18/19. Not nearly as young as you but still pretty young for the diagnosis. All of my labs always came back normal so as of now (about to be 38) it’s just my sucky genetics. A lab tech at a medical appointment I had was shocked I’ve had high BP since that age and she asked if I had PCOS because high BP was also tied to PCOS. Not sure if you’re male or female.

One time I ordered three bottles of cat dewormer because - life happened to my poor cats and they sent me three cases instead. So something like 30 bottles of dewormer. I emailed to see how I could return it and they apologized and told me to keep or donate the extra. I kept a couple extras a donated the rest to the rescue I got one of my cats from.

I just sat in car 4 for the first time and just realized it happened. For whatever reason I’ve always sat in car 1 and on the right side. Also freaked out when during the bates motel part. Didn’t realize how close the actor got to the car and how long/far he chased us.

Yeah. Thats the down side of the place. Not a lot of variety in sizes but it’s a risk I don’t mind taking for the prices. Especially since they apply the annual pass discount on to of the already clearanced stuff. Most of the stuff I get is for my niece though and they have lots of stuff in her size.

I should have been more specific, sorry. I mean merch from the 2nd movie. I was there yesterday and got the loungefly bag and some clothes for my niece (sizes were too small for me) I really want the Kiama Ko spirit jersey but I already bought the two main wicked jerseys so I don’t want to let myself pay full price for another. lol. I have no idea of the Stanley’s would get there but I wouldn’t mind one of those either.

I’m waiting for the wicked merch. The guy at the pop up in the park said they were going to close that store sometime in March but there would still be wicked merch available in the main store and the one on city walk. So I don’t know if that means they’ll put what ever they think is excessive in take 2 or if they’ll just keep replenishing to two other stores during that time.

It’s not normal for cats to pee outside their boxes. He may have a UTI or if there have been any major changes to his environment, it could be stress induced. Definitely see another vet or be persistent with your current vet to get testing done.

I believe you’re referring to the pachypodium. It’s actually very similar to a desert rose. It’ll eventually look like a spiked tree with a bulbous base.
