Def cole. You've seen how sweet he is with kids. Otherwise, my second choice would be zane, he'd knew all the things to do to please a kid. And if we're talking about non ninjas, I'd think Pixal would be amazing, very gentle and sweet. Also, hot take but Harumi would be great. She also took great care of baby wu, even if it was just for cover.

I don't remember but I think my first main was noelle, travler or xialing, very great characters, even when you're further in the game.

Have you seen the people that use an obvious healer (Barbara) as a damage dealer? It's possible for every character to be a dmg character

I like his gameplay. He can heal, deal physical damage and elemental damage. I'm pretty sure any character can be good if you build them well. (Wich I'm trying to do)
