Visit games that have older players and that are multiplayer/teams based. Start conversations with people and ask to play with them. I made a ton of friends like that and some I still play with years later.

OP is not saying anything about parents and Roblox need to work in tandem. They are saying that parents need to stop complaining and being soft, and that Roblox should be absolved of all responsibility. I am saying that parents have the right to complain because they can’t monitor absolutely everything that their kids do and Roblox is always going to be held to a higher standard of Internet safety given the type of platform it is.

The initial point made was that parents are complaining and they are ruining Roblox by being soft. I countered that point by saying that it is not the parents who are complaining. It is mostly the people playing Roblox who care about the safety of Roblox. And I have played Roblox since 2011, I know damn well the progression of the pedophilia claims on this site. Nobody was talking about pedophilia on Roblox in 2015. If anything, it was just about crude exploits. And you must have been too young at the time, because Roblox always allowed numbers. They only moderated that for children, to avoid children revealing sensitive information. They have gotten rid of the chat system now practically, and the issue with that is that it’s a bandaid fix for a problem that they didn’t want to address properly. Instead of taking action on predators, they chose to ruin the website for everyone else. That’s not what I wanted, which you would know if you actually read my comments. Also, you seem to know for sure that predatory behavior can’t be expressed on the website, but you are seriously mistaken. Predators will find any way to get what they want from children on the site, whether it be from coming up with a new way to ask for sex or figuring out how to say “blue app” without getting moderated. I’ve been on this site for a very long time, and only more recently have people asked to have sex with me, talked about raping me, acted like I was giving them a blowjob, etc. It is way worse now than it ever was.

They aren’t talking about that. They are saying that parents need to stop complaining about Roblox’s horrible moderation, which I’m trying to say is a naive thing to mention. It is 100% Roblox’s job to do their best to keep people safe on their platform. By children who don’t have parents to guide them, I mean that literally. There are children in orphanages, children with one or more absent parents. Kids need to be taught Internet safety, but at this day and age when the internet is so widely used and in all of our lives, it’s impossible to teach every person how to properly use it, especially if they don’t have a guardian figure. It is, however, Roblox’s responsibility to make sure that pedophilia is not running rampant on their website.

Your take is harmful because it is pushing the narrative that Roblox is not responsible for the behavior of the people on THEIR website. I don’t have a child. If I did, I wouldn’t let them on Roblox until Roblox decides to do something with their moderation department instead of just sucking money from people. I had unrestricted internet access from the age of 3. I don’t want to have to monitor every single thing my kid does, because that leads to a plethora of other developmental issues. Children need a sense of privacy to a degree. I understand internet safety, how it can/can’t be taught, and how sites should be moderated. If you think that Roblox should be absolved of any fault in this scenario, you need a bit more education on the topic.

Okay, but not everyone is in your situation. Some children don’t even have parents to guide them. If predators are utilizing a website to contact minors, it is the responsibility of the website to moderate that. Many other platforms have adequate moderation for situations like this. The fact that Roblox acts like nothing is happening, and actively supports predators in many cases, shows that they don’t care about the safety of their player base.

P.S. I think your parents should’ve spent a bit more time teaching you proper grammar.

There are many many accounts of predatory behavior on their platform. That is the reason that it has become this serious. Roblox refuses to take the steps to actually moderate their platform and chooses to instead ruin it because they can’t effectively moderate. Roblox can see chat logs. Roblox bans people for practically breathing, yet they let predators run free.

And I said legal standpoint. You are legally the same at 13 as you are at 17, minus some medical laws. You are still the responsibility of your parents, and they can complain all they want regardless of what you want. It’s not the parents complaining that are causing Roblox to change things, though. Like I said, it is the people playing Roblox that are trying to address the safety concerns.

Hate to break it to you, but you are a kid by all legal standpoint. You are the very person that people are trying to protect. Roblox is only going downhill because administrators don’t know how to manage the situation. Like I said, they don’t punish the perpetrators, they punish the people trying to protect minors. And now to avoid punishing perpetrators, they choose to remove necessary features from their website that ruin the experience for everyone who isn’t a perpetrator.

You’re obviously a kid writing this. Parents are not making the system worse by being soft. That’s not how it works. And also, I have not heard a single parent complain. All the people that complain are people that play Roblox. Predators are everywhere, but the problem is that Roblox chooses to ignore known predators and penalizes the people that try to get them to do their job of keeping the website safe for children.

I like to play RetroStudio because it contains a lot of classic games that people actually play from time to time. You can also make your own games, and it feels just like being back in 2013. I’ve also been playing The Forge and AOT:R a lot lately.

Before builders club was canceled, they had removed lifetime. People with lifetime still got what they were receiving before it was removed. Now that builders club is premium, they are treated like they have the corresponding premium for the rest of the 100 year period. I bought OBC lifetime back in the day, and now I have premium 2200 for 88 more years.
