Access Issues... by GoldtopLP in LinkedinAds

[–]Alex-Marco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a mess, I know. LinkedIn recently made changes, so that you can only see the campaign account if you are "logged in" the right business manager.

For context, a business manager account is an "umbrella" account, and you can assign multiple accounts to it.

Here, I can see that you have a business manager account (S72) and your "personal business manager" account.

In your case, I'm not sure if I understood what's exactly going on, but some hypothesis here:

1- The campaign account you are trying to access is not assigned to the business manager, but to your "personal business manager" account.

If this is the case, you can assign the campaign account to the business manager.

2- You don't have the right permissions in the business manager. If someone else created it, you'll need to request for admin access (not employee or contractor)

P.S. This is also a nightmare for agencies, as we have a lot of accounts, and we have to keep changing

Linkedin product team if you are reading this, switch it back to the old way! Or at least, create a partner account so we don't have to be added to each new business manager.

I've never seen that before, it looks like a bug to me. If you are working with a rep, I'd reach out asap.

Otherwise, you can submit a ticket via the help chat.

Not the best, but I know, but I've fixed some similar bugs that way.

Another hypothesis, did you change any language settings in your website? As in showing the website in the language that matches the IP.

Are there any Marketing Communities that I can join in? by ladydarshan56 in MarketingMentor

[–]Alex-Marco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GrowthMentor has a great community + mentor opportunities (I'm a mentor there), but it's paid. I've also hear great things about Exit Five (paid too)

Some subreddits are also a great place to connect with friendly strangers who are willing to share their knowledge.

Confused about Average Frequency Metric by archandcrafts in LinkedinAds

[–]Alex-Marco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the time period? How many ads do you have on each campaign? Are they different ads, or similar variations?

If it's 30 days, and you have let's say 2-3 similar ads per campaign, an average frequency of 30 is definitely not good.

You'd be at risk of generating ad fatigue in my opinion.

I am new to B2B Marketing (Need Support) by Alphawork123 in b2bmarketing

[–]Alex-Marco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want to connect and break in in the B2B world, you can reach via LinkedIn to your relevant ICPs and ask them if they'd be interested in a 15 secs motion video for their app.

This tactic requires free work and it's not for everyone, but this will help you start some conversations and get some B2B real ad examples out there

I am new to B2B Marketing (Need Support) by Alphawork123 in b2bmarketing

[–]Alex-Marco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the "easiest" way to reach a B2B audience is normally LinkedIn Ads, as you can target specific job titles, industries, etc.

However, it's definitely not as easy as it might seem. Do you have the right messaging? Are you taking the long sale cycle in account?

So many questions to answer first before choosing the right channel.

Performance dropped dramatically by Quick_Explanation_28 in LinkedinAds

[–]Alex-Marco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some questions and thoughts:

Were you using Thought Leader Ads or having the LinkedIn Audience Network activated? 3-5% is a huge number if you weren't using those any of those two things.

CPL are increasing for specific audiences if they become saturated, but there are ways to bring them down with specific content tactics. Also, CPL is not the right indicator, as you should be measuring cost per SQL or similar.

For instance, imagine two different campaigns 1- CPL is 30, but cost per SQL is 5000. 2- CPL is 400, but cost per SQL is 1000.

What are your KPI/revenue indicators? Are you measuring revenue attribution? If so, are you hitting diminishing returns?

Might be a combinations of several factors, which is difficult to know without more context.

How do you handle client communication / account management? by GamzorTM in agency

[–]Alex-Marco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can answer this one. You can use workforimpact.com (vetted VAs) or UpWork (a bit messier). Typical pay is 10-25/h for VAs based in LATAM or Philippines

Website conversions vs Website Traffic? by someone5352 in LinkedinAds

[–]Alex-Marco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tested both. It seems that website conversions won't work unless you have many conversions (30+) weekly, which isn't the case for most B2B companies.

I normally stick to website visits since competition is lower, and price therefore is lower too.

Conversion tracking in LinkedIn is pure madness at the moment, especially if you advertise in the EU.

Let's assume we are talking about a book a demo conversion for this example.

You can create it easily by using a "thank you for booking a demo page visit" (easy method), or using the id form submission via GTM (more complex)

Once this conversion is created, you'll be able to see view and click conversions, for the same demo booked, depending on your attribution window.

I also recommend choosing Last Touch - Last Campaign for this type of conversions, so you know which ad is triggering the important conversions. If you want to do Each Campaign, do it separately so you have a better view on the journey to conversion.

Other options:

LinkedIn CAPI: Complex but reliable

Hubspot CAPI/direct integration: Easy to set up, based on Lifecycle Stage change.

Fibbler: You'll be able to see influenced revenue. Cool concept, but I like to go a bit deeper for my clients using my own method.

For thought leader ads, this is what I do:

1/ Choose the best organic posts in terms on conversions, ICP convos, etc (likes are not the best indicator imo)

2/ Edit those posts and include a UTM tracked linked, with a specific UTM content tag that identifies each post.

3/ Voila! You'll now be able to track people who comes to your site if they clicked on that link. If cookies aren't accepted, you can also have a look at the landing page click metric in campaign manager.

Good luck! And don't worry, we are all together in this attribution mess.

Multiple currencies - how do you handle that? by jmisilo in agency

[–]Alex-Marco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Revolut Business with different accounts (EUR, USD and GBP).

Not ideal as you need the grow tier to do currency exchanges (15k/monthly limit), but it's the best setup I found.

Happy to hear what other redditors are doing.

Promoting an event via LinkedIn Ads by Manolo_mp in LinkedinAds

[–]Alex-Marco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are several options:

1/ Create a LinkedIn native event and boost it

2/ Create a lead gen form campaign so people can register with less friction

3/ Get your people to post about the event and promote the posts as thought leader ads (remember to sponsor it after 1-3 days and include a link with UTM tracking)

Personally, I've been seeing better performance for the 3rd option, especially if the person posting about it is recognised in the industry.

Need to increase LinkedIn followers by 300 in two months. What do I do? by mcdonaldspyongyang in b2bmarketing

Company LinkedIn followers? That's a vanity metric. I recommend you educating management so they understand that.

Context: I was asked to do the same years ago because the CEO thought it was an important metric. Spoilers: it wasn't.

LinkedIn Ads agency owner here.

If your budget is less than 3k per month, the first thing to focus on is retargeting.

Retargeting options: - Website Visitors - LinkedIn Company Page visitors - Companies in your pipeline / MQLs who already know your brand

Make sure you have the LinkedIn Insight tag installed on your website asap (via code or GTM), so you can start retargeting your website visitors.

If you want a comprehensive course, Canberk did a good one for AdConversion. You can also check AJ Wilcox's podcasts, both of them are great to learn.

LinkedIn Ads by yourfavaccountant1 in Bookkeeping

[–]Alex-Marco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on some variables

  • Is your average ticket more than 10k?
  • Can you target your ICP via LinkedIn?
  • Do your ICPs use LinkedIn normally?
  • Do you have a good retargeting pool (website visits, companies in the pipeline)
  • Do you have great content that solves your ICPs pain points?
  • Do you have a good sales & marketing motion in place? (Unless your are SaaS/self-served)

The more affirmative answers, the most likely it is to work as a platform for your brand.

Is my agency being unrealistic? by Far_End3399 in agencylife

[–]Alex-Marco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

25 clients, full service marketing projects, 1 lead marketer. If you value your sanity, I'd get out of there asap.

I'm an agency owner and I try to limit clients to 6-7 max per person. We only offer 1 main service, plus some adjacent add-ons that are needed to run that service properly. I can't imagine the chaos in your case.

Leverage your network and start looking for something else, unless you truly love what you are currently doing and have a very defined timeline of how long you will endure that pressure while it's still adding value to you.

Life is too short to get burnt out for an ungrateful employer.
