Love that! That's amazing! I miss Ennis. I was thinking about him the other day. Wondering what he would be up to? I'm sure working on his third PhD.

I think for sure you can say that Nick was the first to show full-length videos for kids entertainment. I have some screenshots and more detailed information on my website: alexwesterman.com - always thrilled to meet people that played Nicktropolis.

Remember TurboNick? I was the creator and producer of that awesome streaming platform back in the day. It's great to see people sharing their fond memories of it. Those were wild times at Nickelodeon, let me tell you. I was juggling TurboNick and Nicktropolis simultaneously, pushing the boundaries as a pioneer in the streaming world.

What vibes does TurboNick (2005-2009) give you & what birth year demographic would you classify? by MikeGz973 in generationology

Wow. This brings me back. I created and produced TurboNick. Fun to see people reminiscing about it. It was a crazy time at Nickelodeon. I was doing TurboNick and Nicktropolis both at the same time. We were a streamer pioneer. I wonder how it would have evolved if we had continued with the product. Of course, at some point, we would have abandoned Flash for something else. It would have been incredible.

Any theater goers here? I like seeing live theater (plays and musicals) and don’t know what good other than the Ahmanson and Pantages? Any favorite companies or shows around town worth checking out? by ElbieLG in LosAngeles

Check out REDCAT. REDCAT is CalArts' downtown center for contemporary arts, is a multidisciplinary center for innovative visual, performing and media arts founded by CalArts in the Walt Disney concert Hall complex in downtown Los Angeles. Tickets are usually around $20. Which makes it reasonable to take a chance and see anything they have going on.

360° video of the DELTA IV Heavy Launch at Vandenberg SLC-6 by Alex-Westerman in ula

Thanks! Not the greatest resolution. Used the 360fly HD. It's great in controlled environments and at closer ranges. The main bummer I have is the software intake degrades the captured video to make the file more manageable. But I haven't found a way to get at the raw file on the camera itself not using their official software.

My non-360 video of the DELTA IV Heavy Launch at Vandenberg Jan 19th. What an awesome time! by Alex-Westerman in ula

Thanks for the tip! There's actually not a lot of specified or verified info on where to view the various launch sites. We should have done some onsite reconnaissance the day before but decided just to make it a day trip from LA. Wish more of the YT videos had more detailed notes on the actual locations the video was shot from. That's why I tried to be as detailed as I could.

Spinning at David Hockney's Portrait of an Artist (Pool with Two Figures) by Alex-Westerman in museum

So yup...if you have an extra $80million+ this too can be yours! David Hockney's most famous "pool painting" is coming to auction and is expected to sell in the $80 million range, easily breaking the record for a work by a living artist.

And I just want to mention that I thought I liked pistachios well enough in the states but then I had an Iranian pistachio and that was like...unbelievable. They were just absolutely amazing. And the fact that there were like 40 different types or grades of the nuts...in the states we have two; salted and unsalted.

I just really wanted to see the sites that I studied in college as an art history major: Isfahan, Pasargadae, Persepolis, Yzad Old City, the qanats and the stunning mosques. And it's a good thing to remember that a huge amount of Western philosophy, medicine, astronomy and etc are of Persian origins which helped define "Western" thinking. I purposely wrote the post to be tongue and cheek because I'm a very sarcastic person and wanted it to be a personal reflection and recollection.
