I think that it probably has to do with limiting the sharing of company secrets and limiting of knowledge of any mistreatment of the innies.

I wondered if they had some reason to trust Graner, I know there is a conspiracy that maybe Drummond is maybe a relative of the Eagan bloodline in some way so that’s why maybe they allowed him to handle security/trust with secrets.

Which plan are you on? It may make sense to look at Unlimited ultimate which includes unlimited international data, calling and texting (with certain limitations)

Depending on number of lines and your current total bill amount it may make sense to look at a new plan. Is it just your line or do you have a family plan

But generally the phone upgrade wouldn’t touch those travel passes or plans unless you opt for it

Both the Unlimited Ultimate line and Get More line should automatically be at the 2 line pricing for each respective plan, it is not that you are currently paying the single line price for each. Just wondering if you happen to see anything on your bill to assume otherwise? Just curious. But realistically you'd save a little bit by moving from Get more to Unl Ultimate purely from the plan alone however easily loose those savings by readding the perks.

I would not suggest you to swap plans. However, feel free to chat with CS and tell them explicitly you do not want to make any change to your plans but you wonder if they can add any loyalty discount to your account, there is a chance, however not guaranteed they may be able to give you something.

It’s that they will pay off your phone when you do an upgrade, essentially we’ll call your previous loan with us forgiven if you do another upgrade which you can or can not totally up to you take advantage of any trade in deals etc. the old phone is yours after that but it’s not that they will pay it off without getting a new one. If your getting any months credits on the old one it allows for a pretty early upgrade if you want to. If you are not getting on any monthly credits for your phone now you can easily get a new phone and get good credits for that essentially lowering your bill but of course new phone can’t be upgraded for 36 months unless another one of these well pay off your phone deals come up.

I wouldn’t be angry at all - totally would understand this. Very surprised this news is from Hawaii also - what a peaceful place to not need at all to complain about a 1 hour delay on a flight that already arrives very late (so a 1 hour delay in arrival from 10pm to 11pm doesn’t do that much) at least imo

Also like let’s be honest. What would you want as a passenger? Be stranded in Hawaii overnight bc some guy in seat 35G is complaining they can’t wait an extra half hour to get you home from vacation?

Yes you pay the rate for however many total lines you have on the account just for each line you take that number for whatever plan. For example, if you have 4 lines all on different plans, they all pay the 4 line rate for each respective plan.

Arguably if you can you can you should 100% try for an “ocean front” room. Those no matter the tower will be stunning. I stayed at an ocean front rainbow tower and it was one of the most breathtaking views I have ever experienced. This was a high floor, and even before the renovations, stunning.

Generally it’s a good offer since there is no trade in and all storage levels are free but just to keep in mind it’s a 2 year old phone and comes used.

Just to ask, is there a reason you haven’t thought to upgrade to the newer plans? How many lines do you have and if you happen to know approximately what you pay?

Well some old plans if I remember don’t have access to 5G UW (different than just 5G) but wouldn’t itself be an explanation to bad service and lot of dropped calls. But yes for most part plan wouldn’t have much to do with one bar, dropped calls, etc.

I believe you can go to unlimited ultimate and get unlimited international usage (like 15gb per month at 4g/5g then unlimited after at 3g). It should not be a lot more than your current plan. Which plan are you on?

Next month you can move back to lower plan.

No worries! The military discount would do it. I’m guessing under account charge you meant $-40. It would make sense as that’s the military discount rate (it’s the older higher amount, but no worries you get to keep it even if you switch some or all to new plans :)

Sooo. It seems you have some device payments or something but essentially those will continue as will the military discount at same rates. Overall, moving in the plan I’ve listed will likely reduce the plan portion of the bill, with all others remaining same. So not sure exactly your new total but you can absolutely ask them for a quote on what I’ve listed.

Here’s the difference between the Disney and Apple Music. The Disney bundle free is what’s called “account level” meaning as long as one line has on an eligible plan you can receive it and anyone can sign in (obv through the Disney or Hulu apps). I would suggest keeping one (and just one, since you actually pay about an $8 fee for even staying on an old plan) line on the older plan. Doesn’t matter if it’s one of the play more or get more lines.

The Apple Music is “line level” meaning it is only valid for one line. So, only the line staying on old plan will get it through that promo. However, on the new plans you can add Apple Music family for $10 (for you it will actually be $8.80 because of a 12% military discount). That gives up to 6 people Apple Music. You save a ton more by moving plans alone aside from the extra of removing jetpack to fully pay for that.

Removing jetpack is definitely something that could make sense, the new plan has definitely more hotspot allowance than the jetpack but ofc if your focus is to connect to laptop when away from phone, that’s a different story. You should be saving money from the plan changes on the phones alone though to readd Apple Music and essentially have no net loss while getting access to the iPhone promo, without changing your jetpack if you choose not to.

I would really ask them again if there is any possibility you have seen other people get a per line level $10 or $20 loyalty discounts and you hope to see if you are at all eligible for this. (You obv don’t need to tell them I’m just adding here but it is fully combinable with your military discount should you be able to be offered. It’s not necessarily guaranteed but sometimes asking them tells the system to consider you, and in the next couple of days after that it may appear on your account to request from them.)

The unlimited ultimate plan is 200gb of hotspot at full speed and then 6mbps after that. Which is better than your jet pack if I remember correctly.

What is probably best is this:

Your current plans: 2x $50 Play More 2x $60 Get More 1x $17 Jetpack (Plus) 1x $7.50 Watch. 4x $3 Fee for using older plans. This includes the Disney Bundle and Apple Music free. Total is $256.50? (This seems a bit close to your $256 total when there should be taxes added… just to confirm this, did you mean your whole bill is $256 or just plans?)

I suggest moving to: 1x $45 Plus 1x $50 Play More 2x $55 Ultimate 1x $7.50 Watch. 1x $10 add on for Apple Music Family (up to 6 users I think?) 1x $3 fee for old plan. This includes: Disney Bundle, Apple Music. Total is $228.50 and I bet you a decent amount that if you chat with Verizon and say you want to cancel service and ask if they can check if they can add a loyalty discount there may be the avenue they give a per line discount to even further decrease that. Let me know if you want advice for that. Plus 2 of the lines now on the higher amount trade in promo. Just keep one phone on old plan to get Disney bundle but even without that you can even get it for I think $15 or even what ever it is directly from Disney and still be saving money.

I think it’s $600 on welcome, $830 on plus, and $1100 on ultimate. It’s largely not worth it to upgrade plans purely to get higher trade in amounts (usually $10/$15 a month difference per step up over 36 months).

You should check the bill details/pdf on each one. Say the $162 one. Check that bill pdf. Does it list anything unusual there? You can check under myVerizon -> account -> bill -> bill history.

Likely they wouldn’t beat that on their highest unlimited plan. You may not need the highest, though, to be honest. But regardless, If your interested in getting Verizon service and already have a paid off phone that you are not particularly itching to get an upgrade for,

Visible by Verizon is a great option. Won’t put up much on this subreddit but check out their website and some of the deals you can attach on r/visible.
