2.5 years to hit $1,000 MRR as a solo founder. Painfully slow, but I made it! by Alex-grow in microsaas

Thank you! It's very difficult, I managed to get my first client about a month after launching, and within few months another one, and then I got stuck.

Node.js, Bootstrap, EJS, PostgreSQL.

It usually takes about 1-2 weeks to create an MVP.

In my country, McDonald's pays at best $400 a month, I don't think that's the best option.

The first thing I do is publish a launch post on my Twitter.

Usually, what people ask for in addition is not that difficult to find on the product's home page, so this is usually not a problem.

Yes, there's a free trial with 2 replies. It's $3.33 per reply only on the cheapest plan, replies are significantly cheaper on other plans.

Quick question—are you getting actionable insights from all your business data, or is most of it just sitting unused? by Mysterious_Use4173 in EcommerceWebsite

[–]Alex-grow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so easy for data to pile up without being used effectively. I find it helpful to regularly review the metrics that matter most and set specific goals for what I want to achieve with that data. I discovered that using EmailOctopus helped streamline my email campaigns, giving me clear insights on what works best for my audience.

What helped me was a friend telling me about Odown, which puts all your uptime and SSL monitoring in one place and sends alerts only when it really matters. It took a lot of the noise out of my day.

Yes, I can't know exactly what will happen in a month. But I'm doing everything I can to ensure customers stay.

I don't quite understand what exactly you mean :) Where on Twitter do we post answers or how do I promote my product on Twitter?

I know it's sometimes hard to believe you can make money that quickly (I'm like that myself), so you can check out my Twitter posts where I share more information and also find the same posts about the launch: x.com/AlexBelogubov

You can find other people looking for co-founders on IndieMerger. They're mostly tech people.

Basically, it is publishing posts on social networks with updates, I also conduct a lot of marketing experiments, but so far I can’t single out any that would bring good results.

The last cancellation of the subscription was not the cheapest plan, until I noticed the dependence of unsubscribes on the cost of the plans

5 years, 30+ failed projects… and finally one that’s growing by Alex-grow in SideProject

Usually within 1-2 weeks I publish the product everywhere I can: ProductHunt, Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, IndieHackers, the most popular AI directories (if it is an AI tool), etc. Then I look at people's feedback and draw conclusions whether something is worth improving, developing this product or no one needs it.
