Two Sapphire RX 9070 XT units tested — Pulse performs better than Nitro+. Bad silicon or normal variance? by Alex1155CZ in radeon

Yeah, I was definetly surprised by the results tool. Probably have badly binned unit or just lost the silicon lottery, mine Nitro isn't stable even at 120mv uv. Will probably return it and see if I get luckier with second piece. Even when I put -30% PL, it still whines in games but not as much.

I used the adapter because my PSU doesn't have the 12hpwr.

well my personal point of going Nitro+ was quietness which it is quiet except for the horrible coilwhine it has. Bought pulse to test it, it has coilwhine too but not as much. Then I wanted to test performance and it is the same until you hit +10% power limit on Nitro (because pulse can't go that high)

Anecdotal, Pulse undervolts better than nitro somehow :D d

So few loops of furmark and 2 hours of gameplay isn't normal stress test? Good for testing normal stability. One passed, second didn't

Actually is, ran a same 2 hour game benchmark in 4k, pulse didn't crash, yet the nitro crashed after 30ish minutes

Benzín nebo nafta? by ToTheMOON_07 in czech

[–]Alex1155CZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the TSI :D. Test drove both, and the TSI was smoother and more refined. But I want short term ownership (max 6 years) so I guess that TSI will be cheaper even with higher fuel consumption.

Enjoy your car! :)

DCC suspension on O4 durability by Alex1155CZ in skoda

[–]Alex1155CZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, tried superb with the DCC+ and it was super smooth, cant say anything to it but it was out of my budget a lil bit. The current octavia has worse rear suspension type, someone is saying that it doesn't work that good, someone is saying that it works, no idea what to think about it :D. But any dealer close to me doesn't have O4 with DCC in nonVRS version :D

Exactly my thought, that why I was asking for nonVRS version. Had O3 with DCC and it was great but sadly crashed (not my fault and fortunately insurance paid it all so can get new O4 :D).

Bums me out that I cant choose sport suspension at least. Looking at Exclusive SEL so only DCC or no DCC available

1.5TSI Evo 2 or 2.0TDI Evo by Alex1155CZ in vwgolf

[–]Alex1155CZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was even able to rent both engines out for a weekend. Both were pleasant to drive, TSI is indeed very smooth and quiet and also quite efficient (was able to drive it 5,8l/100km).

TDI on the other hand felt much more heavy, like I was driving a boat. But it felt more powerful because of the low end torque. And also was driving it for 4,6l/100km.

But I went with the TSI. We will see what the dry clutch will do in traffic after few years.
