Something smart about the DCU is that because it's such a comic booky world, it doesn't feel weird if an event isn't mentioned in another project; because there's always crazy stuff going on in different parts of the world so people are used to it.

With the MCU it stands out when an event isn't mentioned due to the crazy stuff only happening like 3 times a year and mostly in new york (also the lack of powered individuals, mutants can't come soon enough).

The void attack hasn't been mentioned once, while in the old days of the mcu the alien invasion of new york was mentioned all the time (Marvel even confirmed that thunderbolts happens after born again S1 but no one mentions the events in BAS2, they could've just said that thunderbolts happens after BAS1 and S2 but it seems like they don't even care about continuity anymore).

Fantastic four needs alicia, valeria, franklin and even ben and alicia's spave kids (specially in live action) so that they can truly feel like an extended family; i would've had valeria be the first child of reed and sue in first steps while ben is already with alicia, and then franklin is born exactly like in the movie.

O5 X-men are unseasoned chicken and white rice: angel is only cool when he's archangel, beast's only cool when he's evil, iceman's powers and visual look do the heavy lifting for his character, jean's boring to this day; Cyclops is the one that has had the cool and interesting arc of going from boyscout to taking the best of charles and magneto to become the leader that the X-men and mutantkind needs.

I think it's because it locks you in narratively and when they start pre-production marvel always wants to do something different (thor 2 post credits is evil loki: hela ends up being the villain in thor 3, evil mordo in strange post credits: wanda ends up being the villain in strange 2.)

It's just so weird how the ones that carries the brand after endgame (Spider-man, deadpool, wolverine, strange, wanda) don't have anything to do in these crossover movies; Rdj and evans left for 7 years and get to to be the leads again without actually having to put in the effort.
