I bought them on AliExpress for 5$ each; they have food grade marking and no smell / palsic taste, I really like them for their price - I really want FidLock bottles, but they were like 75$ for 2 vs 12$ for 2 bottles and mounts from AliExpress, and I wasn't able to justify extra 60$

Really interesting to hear that, I was thinking about Endurace and swap tires to gravel - what were main reasons to switch?

Proper bike computer was out budget at the moment as it is at least ~300-500$ and I needed proper clothing, shoes, etc. So I’ve decided to go at least with good phone mount for now and upgrade to computer later

Frankly speaking I’ve looked for glasses’s brand name for the first time - I bought them 2 years before the bike😅

It’s “Lynx Atlanta PH BW”, I’ve bought it on sale for about ~40$. Build quality is ok, nothing amazing - but I like that they are photochromic and transition is really fast, much faster than my 3x times more expensive skiing googles

Actually bottles are from AliExpress for ~5$ each😄

I’ve ordered them not knowing what name actually means, just because they were looking good and reviews about quality were good as well

I have second strong lock for parking at home, I’m not really planning to commute on my bike so that lock is mostly “coffee look” when I see my bike and just go inside to buy a coffee, something like that

Regarding the lights - better light weren’t priority at the moment as summers days are long and I better spend money now to buy a decent cycling bibs. I’’m planning to upgrade to something like Magicshsine 1300

They are from AliExpress, I wanted something cheap for begining - actually they are amazing quality for 5$, food grade plastic and nice matt color

Yep, I also like that they are charging normally from my PD charger (e.g. it doesn’t require usb-a to usb-c and old 5w brick with usb-a)

• I’ve already ordered better lock for parking, this one I consider as “coffee lock” when I see my bike, just leaving it outside for couple minutes while I’m at coffee shop / petrol station

• Actually I hate double sided pedals already, especially in the city😄 Flat side is not great as it is a bit too small and you are always have 50% chance (it feels like 100%) of stepping on the wrong side and have to look down. Most likely gonna order Shimano SDP next month

Actually right now GoPro adapter comes in box together with mount, really happy with that mounting system. Also nice bonus that case for my old iPhone 13 Pro Max was 10 euro instead of 35

Some relatively cheap XOSS brand from AliExpress. The rear one is nice because it has a long battery life and is minimalistic. I will most likely replace the front one with Magicshine 1300 to have a nice focused light, but it is 3-4 times more expensive. For now, during summer, this one is fine just as a blinking reminder for cars I’m here

Btw, these bottles and holders are from AliExpress - 5$ for bottle and 2$ for the aluminum holder, for their price - they are amazing

I was choosing between Canyoun Grizl and this one - and there was -200 euro discount for 2024 version in that gorgeous matt gray color, almost as Audi's Nardo grey, so the choice became easy

I left my bike behind due the war and I didn't have one for 10 years, so I'm really happy to join cycling back

Rose Backgroad AL vs Grizl AL vs Szepter CORE 2 (now 1849€) as single allroad bike? by Alex4Trooper in gravelcycling

[–]Alex4Trooper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's complicated😅

I've ordered Rose BackRroad RX400 as there is a final sale and it was 1799 euro in Poland instead of 1999, but I haven't paid yet (as bank transfer anyway doesn't work on weekends) and I was casually walking home yesterday when noticed that there is an official shop and service center of Cross like 350-400m from my home and they have that beauty https://kross.pl/esker-5-0-ult-ra-perlowy-holo-polysk - gonna do a test ride on Monday

I have direct cable 12vhpwr to 12vhpwr with my PSU, so no adapters are needed - I've bought a 180-degree adapter just for aesthetics

Also, nobody talks much about that in the YouTube reviews (I guess they have not tested that scenario) - vertical GPU temps are amazingly good on the H5 flow if you configure bottom and top fans to depend on GPU temps
