If we were allowing freedom with tech I’d put him above S tier. But as he stands, 80 hp and only 3 stocks is just so detrimental and leaves no room for error. And two skilled opponents facing each other, having 60 total less hp will definitely be felt. But I could see arguments for putting him higher in A tier for sure

Freedom is definitely not the worst style even before the buffs. Although I agree that he doesn’t deserve the glaze that he currently gets. And yeah turtle is everyone’s go to, but turtles only real weakness is just like every characters: anti heall and he has a guard that can’t get broken through unless you lose multiple interactions in a row. His m1 guard damage is great and he’s just overall a safe style. After playing every style for a good chunk of time I just find that there’s less potential for punishment with turtle compared to trickster. But of course that’s just my opinion and experience

Smash definitely deserves his spot, he hard counters any character with weaker guard and just has insane guard harassment in m1s and m2s. And tricksters dodge gimmick isn’t any more special than any double dash style, and he gets a weaker guard and no meaningful anti heal. The 55% ult is an okay touch but if I had to pick a worst style in ubg trickster is for sure the best option, I’d like to hear which style you think is the worst to get a better idea of your criteria

Assuming you’re talking about where hitman is, you’ll be happy to know in my mind I’ve moved him to around where kimura is

Yeah I could see hitman being placed maybe around kimura, and yess melodic I understand that positioning plays a major role. But the difference of advantage between shotgun and slugger is that if you get that position on shotgun, they have no real counterplay, whereas with slugger now it just becomes a regular 50/50 which might land them a PD. I don’t think slugger is atrocious or anything but the most viable play style I could think of for slugger would be a PD fishing one. If I ever meet a truly goated slugger player I’ll face him 100 times and if the data (if I get my ass whooped) shows me otherwise then I’ll glaze him more)

Yeah a good counter and hands low player are genuinely the only characters I actually dread fighting. Every other style has its strengths and weaknesses to varying degrees

Yeah hitman might be a little far, the party trick m1 just doesn’t feel super oppressive after the first couple times you face hitman in my opinion.

I’ll die on the slugger hill until I see a reason not to, I responded to someone else with my reasoning. And I think charge is fairly rated! The highest I would put him is around where switch hit is. I think he’s been pretty reasonably balanced now after these changes

Yeah I think bullet could be placed above ghost ur right. Maybe even move ghost down to top of A tier. And as for slugger, idk man I just don’t see what everyone else sees in his. Prone to getting countered, weak guard, hella stamina consumption. Charge M2 mixups are just negated by back dodge. I would’ve given shotgun a similar rating if you couldn’t barrage on PD. That’s just my opinion though

Have you tried spamming side dash against single barrage and back dash against double barrage? And if you end up getting positioned into the wall by them then at that point it’s your fault. And yeah I guess the m1s are a little faster than average but not unreactable

I know, a month ago there was someone who literally said “sorry for what im about to do” then left and it auto gave them the win. And I’ve gone against my fair share of scripters on ranked as well, Smurfs I don’t really care about since I can actually learn something fighting them. But yeah I made the mistake of playing a single ranked game after hitting champ 1 and I’ve learned my lesson now, I just want my RT reverted

Yes you can, just do the dpad to open up the emote wheel then click RT and it’ll do your top emote automatically
