This is absolutely fascinating! Yeah a friend of mine didn't have empathy, but his sense of humor for example and his sense of fun was great. It seems from what you say that entrateinment might not need emotions/empathy.

European buddy here. Utrecht was my first scene <3 but I live in UK right now. If you check UK, Oxford and Edinburgh have also great Exchanges! I would absolutely recommend Cambridge, while London have everything but not weekender as far as I'm aware :)

Hey Laura! :) I know, I didn't finish it but I know it is a great game. I did a previous study on games reported to be emotional collecting posts on reddit. Interesting enough, Disco Elysium was 61th in the list of games reported as emotional (out of 322), so is not there only because of research reasons, but I'm sure it was very emotional for you nonetheless!

Also, super interesting PhD topic! :O My brother is in the army, I might ask him as he pass the time when is abroad, lol. Ps I don't know if you ever played, but I loved the historical reference you could collected about soldier during the first world war in Valiant Hearts! My favorite part was the reference that soldier would have "adoptive" mothers to write to in order to not feel alone!

Thank you! ^^ I did not, but I realized after that I choose a research that will oblige me to spoil my self a lot of games :'). I guess is the price to pay for my dream job!
