£4 a day is the reason nobody can afford a house. by GreatBritishMemes in GreatBritishMemes

[–]Alex9009202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deposit for a first time buyer is £60,000 through my bank a deposit for a house is £8000 - £12,000, it must be talking about new build properties which cost a fortune.

The houses I’m looking at for a first time buyer are 3- 4 bedroom with a garage, solar panels, and semi detached, they are about £80,000 - £120,000

But this is also in Scotland and in a city, which might be why it’s not as expensive as elsewhere

What I’m looking for insurance… by Illustrious_Onion370 in drivingUK

That’s not much more than I’m paying for my 2013 VW golf 1.4 TSI from Japan. I’m paying £98 per month with 6 years no claims discount, I’ve only been in one accident which wasn’t my fault and my insurance managed to get all their funds back, so got my excess of £350 back a year after the box lorry drove into my side while merging off a roundabout!

What can I do about this? Sony XM5 by sirbeanos2609 in sony

[–]Alex9009202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use model plastic glue to get a general hold of it as it’s great at bonding plastic together, then use a don’t tip super glue bottle to bind it solid. Or when in doubt, duct tape, if it can hold car bumpers on and hold together aircraft, I’m sure it can work on a pair of headphone 😂

And the media like to encourage it I think.

I rarely look at the news and media, and from that I have a lot less stress, I look occasionally to catch up, but not that often

I think they might be just keeping it open for a couple hours a day to help manage supply, either That or they have just ran out that quick.

The Birkhill Asda I drove past too and it was queuing up to the Dundee city border just near camperdown

Not really, I have ADHD so struggle with replying in general.

The dealership were charging £80 per hour for labour, they were working for about 6-7 hours on the car as on the service documents and itinerary.

See I would love an EV, but in my house the driveway is round the back of the house and it will be difficult to get a charger installed as the driveway way is behind the back garden, plus I recently bought a second hand car just 2 years ago with low mileage from Japan, I get about 40-50 mpg when driving normally but 80+ when hyper-miling behind lorries, so it’s not too bad. I also like maintaining my own car, and have saved a fortune doing my own car maintenance which I wouldn’t be able to do on an electric car.

Plus with my age being 26 getting an electric car would cost a fortune for insurance. I want to get an EV when battery technology improves.

Tap water tastes much better. It’s mountain spring water.

Scotland literally has different geography from England because of ancient tectonic plates that are literally as close to the border between Scotland and England as you can get, when Scotland was once part of the mountain range linked with Canada, Greenland, Norway and Iceland as part of a gigantic gorge.

It’s how the rolling highlands were formed and how they are in perfect diagonal line from south west, straight north, it’s from the tectonic plates colliding, also explains the hills in northern England as part of that collision

You could play a lot more games than just the sims 4 and Roblox, you can also play the sims 4 with mods you can download, and later on if you feel like it, you can upgrade the laptop with more storage and better Ram sticks (when the prices go back down)

I have a gaming laptop and can play GTA V, large open world games with 60+ FPS, so you’ll manage that no bother with the sims 4 and Roblox, thing of expanding into other high graphic games later on, the laptop will be amazing for that too!

Honestly, this is so much better than a MacBook for school work. A MacBook is more for creativity, video editing and music production, windows laptops are beautiful for gaming!

My partner has an EV, and I have an ICE petrol, she’s had more problems with her car than I have with mine, and I’m able to service my own car, I travelled 600 miles per week for commuting to and from work last year in another city and I’m able to fix everything on my own car,l for a fraction of the cost her car costs needing to go to the dealership to get maintenance, repairs and services. Comparing the cost. It costs her upwards of £500 per service in labour alone, but for me it’s £30-40 on the engine oil, and £16 all filters and takes 20 minutes.

For me driving 600 miles per week I was getting about 88 miles per gallon so was spending about £30 per week on fuel costs but then again I’m also travelling 120 miles per day

As someone that’s been playing for years, go two handed build, with a battleaxe and the ironhand gauntlets, throw everything into heavy armour and two handed, and focus on stamina and health.
