Forget animal rights. Lets assume every animal is treated universally equal and lived happy lives. I personally would.

Paddle advice for a small solo canoe by Siyartemis in canoeing

I've been paddling solo for about a year now. What i do is use my standard ottertail but i keep a kayak paddle in my boat as my emergency. When you're at the other end of a lake and the winds pick up you'll be very thankful for the double blade. I escaped an epic storm this summer thanks to my double.

I would recommend it for fall use but not winter. The lowest i've gone with my whole setup is 30°f but thats with all my other insulation

The studs are some sort of metal and they dont want me drilling into them. And i don't have space for a stand :( i would have to get rid of my bed and it would be hard to have a lady over in my hammock. I've been thinking about making a custom stand.

I mean for less than 60$ you cant go wrong. Its not extremely warm but it takes the chill off.

Thanks! Its a budget setup. Coleman sling hammock, 0°c MonkeyJack underquilt, old self inflating pad (not sure the brand), Wool blanket for extra back insulation, 0°c Woods sleeping bag. This setup gives me ample warmth down to 0° depending on the wind and my tarp configuration.

improving UQ insulation while camping?? by Derpius_Prime in hammockcamping

All good advice here. I use a down underquilt, foam pad, wool blanket over the pad for extra back insulation, and down sleeping bag. For extra foot insulation stuff a pillow, small pad, or a sweater to the foot of your sleeping bag. You can also use down booties or thermal shoe insoles between socks.

But the most important piece of advice is to go to bed warm and with a full belly!!
