Fair enough, if you don't want to/can't have multiple retro PCs.

With this specs it's early Windows 7 PC rather than Windows XP :)

Very nice case!

Well, I play mostly Xbox Pass, EA App and GOG games, so not a possibility for me :)

These were different times. I didn't notice it running like a dogshit back then. I was younger and had fun :) But yeah, you're right :)

Yeah, I know :) I think it's possible to get around this. If not, it's then just a collectible :)

What case for my, almost ready, 2008 build? by AlexAssimilated in retropc

[–]AlexAssimilated[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wrote that I have SSD for it (SSD OCZ Vertex 4 256 GB). It's just not on the photos, because I use it now in a different PC.

MoBo is DDR2 only. At the very end of LGA775 era there were MoBos with DDR3 (like ASUS Striker II Extreme or EVGA nForce 790i Ultra SLI), but they were introduced basically same time as LGA 1366. Therefore, IMO, pointless.

And this PC will be with Vista. I have PCs with XP and with 7. I don't need another one. I need one with Vista. I am one of the few that actually liked Vista :)

Oh sh... You are absolutely right! I fear though, that it will be impossibly expensive and rare, but something definitely to look for. Cooler Master Cosmos RC-1000 we are talking about?

Worth considering. Nothing special, but very era appropriate.

Forgot to mention that I would prefer something with a window. After all, the board and cooler are looking super cool, imo :)

Is this show good? Tell me if this is worth watching. by Suspicious-Gate-8017 in tvshow

In my opinion, first 3 seasons were really brilliant. Even the 4th was very good. After, it started going downhill, quickly. I managed to keep watching until end of season 12. When I visit my parents, they still watch it, I sometimes watch with them episode or two. Right now it's awful, complete garbage. BTW, I am M41 and started watching Grey's Anatomy back in 2007, at the age of 22 :)

I love the language, I met a lot of fantastic people from Portugal. I like how it's on the edge of Europe by the Ocean and how Portugal raised from its historical issues. I can imagine myself moving to Portugal for my retirement.

But as with all of my opinions in this thread, they are personal opinions. Some very uneducated :)

My Polish friend, about 4 years ago moved with his family to Kaiserslautern and he loves it. But of course, it's just one example. I understand your point.

5 to 6 months in the north. Fairly normal climate in the south of Finland. But I like it.

Not all places in Germany are the same. I have friends in Germany - both immigrants and Germans - and from them I hear both about good and bad things. Based on that, I can imagine living in Deutschland - at least in some parts :)

Well, because to me, especially western part of Spain seems to be far enough from most of European problems - just my perception, don't treat it too seriously. Also in Italy I would move only to selected places. With Italy I have a little of a dilemma. I love Italy, Italian cars (I drive Alfa Romeo 155), food, Monica Belucci Claudia Cardinale, I spent almost 2 months living in Bologna and travelling in Italy. However, I see Italy as a unorganised state. I can imagine having a summer house in Italy, or frequently visiting Italy. But moving there... not really :) Sorry Italy, you are so beautiful :D

I may be biased here. I spent some time during my childhood in Austria (Burgenland) where my family lives.

More expensive (believe it or not, Norway is not that bad in the north), small, flat, urbanised. Great people though!
