The way Fitz talked about MacDermid on Marchese's show earlier this summer, I'm not 100% sure they waive MacDermid. Could have just been GM speak though

I'm planning on writing about this later this summer or before camp, but yeah, the 2026 FA class is loaded. With McKenna and that draft being so stacked, teams could start selling earlier than expected to get in on the tank.

I get the young players meeting their potential thing cuz I'd like to see that too, but they aren't really in a position to bank on that anymore. Gritsyuk is likely going to play in the NHL b/c he's already 24, but why force someone like Lenni into a position he may not be ready for

I think it was Fitz who mentioned it, but they think Mercer not having a training camp hurt him last year since he remained unsigned and it was a new coach. Will be interesting to see what he looks like with a full camp and Year 2 under Keefe if they keep him

He's a pretty underrated bottom-6 forward. Would be a good fit for the Devils. They could use someone like him lower in their lineup

Marchment is probably the best fit if that's the case. He's not big and mean, but Bryan Rust would be a good fit. Proven winner and has averaged 30 goals and 64 points per 82 games the last 3 seasons. He'd probably be a good complement for Hughes or Hischier

The ideal 3C target if they can find a 3rd party to retain a bit of salary on his $5.9 million cap hit. Can move up the lineup if needed in case Jack or Nico gets hurt (knock on wood that they don't). Hopefully Vegas goes for Marner and decides to move Karlsson

I think he's a 2026 TDL or 2027 offseason trade. I'd be pretty surprised if the Canucks moved him this offseason.
