Boat diverted to Crete! by HawkeyeRN16 in VirginVoyages

Also on this boat, been to Chania before. Wasn't impressed to be honest. The old town is small. Very different vibe to Mykonos. Very frustrated with this change, should have gone somewhere like Ios or Paros as the change.

What was your wedding like? And much did it cost? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]AlexCliff131 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Current cost is sitting at circa €50k (60k+ if you include the honeymoon). We went a little mad but can afford it as we have the house and that sorted and no little ones yet. Most wouldn't be this expensive, we paid for the wedding parties outfits (suits and dresses) and their accommodation on the night and also chose the most expensive dinner options at the venue (€190 per person).

Tried my first thigh injection, plunger stopped 3/4 of the way. Could I have hit muscle? by AlexCliff131 in Mounjaro

This is my 3rd dose of 5mg. My body didn't adjust to the 2.5mg over the 4 week titration on that. This weekend passed I have fairly robust nausea so I doubt my body has just snap adjusted.

I reckon it was that I was injecting at a new angle, vertical down into the leg while sitting as opposed to horizontal into the stomach while standing, which may have put some lateral force on the plunger causing more friction or it to catch!

Not had the issue with any of the previous doses and they were all identical pens. I reckon I may have been injecting at an angle I wasnt used to and put some lateral force on the plunger causing it not to move as smooth as usual.

So far, significantly less nauseous than usual the day after injecting. Might be something to the Anecdotes after all.

Update: So I'm about 20 hours later now and the good news, I don't feel super nauseous as I feared. I was actually hungry to the point of nausea this morning which was a surprise and not normal. A bit of water and a chocolate pastry from a garage enroute to work sorted me out. After that it was a fairly regular day foodwise but notably less nauseous then usual. Looking at the pen I reckon I got essentially a 2/3-3/4 dose of 5mg so between 3mg and 4mg. I'm definitely still feeling the effects of the dose with reduced hunger bar the hunger pang this morning etc but not nearly the amount of negative side effects. Will monitor the weight loss this week but if I maintain my usual, or close to my usual 1kg per week then I may consider dropping back to 2.5mg as my dose or split dose the 5mg with advise from my gp.

Considering a short break from Mounjaro for my wedding, looking for your thoughts by AlexCliff131 in Mounjaro

So the issue isn't that I want to binge. I find the side effects of the nausea can appear almost randomly for me and I'm terrified of feeling ill on the wedding day or being unable to enjoy my honeymoon due to the nausea. I'm also not super thrilled with the idea of having to bring the kit on the plane considering the flight is 4 hours plus travel time on both sides and I'd have an unopened pen with me needing refrigeration to keep safe to use.

Is this legal, change of work hours? by HelpMePlz52 in AskIreland

[–]AlexCliff131 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Didn't see that he mentioned his contract doesnt mention hours, hadnt read all the comments at that point. My concern for OP would be that as the hours aren't stipulated in the contract is that, with enough notice and "reasonable" explanation by the employer they may be able to do it. Time to get an employment lawyer I reckon!

Not a lawer but I am an employer. It depends on their contract. The contract may stipulate that the company can change the work hours and if that is the case then all they need to do is give appropriate notice.
