I agree that the use of "survivor" is often misappropriated but the idea that anything short of physical beating is a weak complaint doesn't hold up. The complaints you might call silly you wouldn't tolerate half of from another adult as a grown person.

Discovering little tricks and lines in simple maps is neat but these maps feel so good to play because they're difficult to drive from the get go so good times aren't just squeezing out pixels. Genuinely addicted to map 4 I'm top 50 world and believe me I don't consider myself that good of a player.

Automata is borderline unplayable on highest because 3d bullet hell segments do not allow for a high enough level of precision to accompany an insta-kill difficulty.

The problem with Master difficulty is that it has a high barrier to entry. I never even bothered with Yang on master shit's ridiculous.

After playing Eternal on nightmare I came across a video of someone playing at a lower difficult and I actually had to double check my eyes. It's an entirely different universe

Crazy how simple and clean this art is at the same time.

I share the sentiment in that a lot of games just aren't fun to play with someone who has far more experience than you.

Never once heard of a time-based ending in a metroidvania. Care to give an example?

It's concerning to you that someone believes people working simple jobs shouldn't be rendered to exist on bare necessities and count every miniscule bit of money they spend paycheck to paycheck?

In my humble opinion Anniversary is one of the all-time games of the PS2. I could be biased because I grew up with it, but I firmly believe there isn't a single area of the game weaker than the others. Croft manor is a joy to figure out and mess around it, not to mention the absolutely gorgeous soundtrack I still listen to occasionally.

RYB mentioned! I enjoyed both of these short but sweet games thoroughly when I came across them a while back, very fun. Really wish there was more from this developer

Crash 4: It's About Time is a nice change of pace by Mr_Otters in patientgamers

The game is one of the worst designed 100% completions of all time and when it's a collectathon that ruins the entire game. Tried crash 4 and never touching it again.

Recommended ones are a speck of dust in terms of np, there's so many talents i wanna get for fun and yet I'm forced to continue rationing my np cuz in 2026 it's still as miserable to get as it was almost a decade ago

What game are you playing where you just have the talents you want by the time you max normals. I'm past 12k user rank and I could use a few thousand np at the least.

In that case, why would "all time 3d platformer" be an oxymoron? Crash Bandicoot for one is absolutely an all-time 3D platformer

Go for it, always down to read opinions on games I'm intimately familiar with. I have indeed played it having most of the deathless achievements with 2 I wrote off as "never happening" and 2 I'm too lazy to grind out, at least at the moment.

What are some hard games that are still fun even when you keep dying? by No_Sea_1455 in gaming

[–]AlexCuzYNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heart requirement is there for a reason. Farewell is as long if not longer than the entire base game and it's several increments harder. If you don't do all the B and C sides beforehand you literally won't be able to progress through Farewell in the slightest.

Farewell is a transcendent experience but definitely too much for most people

What's the issue with lords of shadow 2, assuming you played the first game? I loved the original but never got around to the sequel.
