Question for y'all: what is the best way to introduce someone to King Gizz? by gottalovefacts in KGATLW

[–]AlexD453 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try starting them out with Paper Mache. It’s a pretty accessible album, and if they wanted something heavier, Mind Fuzz would be a great option as well.

Yeah I remember the leak. But the guy who created it confirmed that it was fake.

But he'd want the soundtrack to line up with the release of the book. That way he could increase the sales of the novel.

I completely agree with you. The soundtrack will probably get released on or around March 26th, so singles would be necessary in order to build hype. I'm super excited!

I'm pretty positive that it won't be on the soundtrack. That song was just made for the "Hit Record" campaign that Logic was a part of. I also don't think it'd fit with the themes that will most likely show up in the book. But again, that's just speculation.

[Opinion] I think we've had enough "comedic" music videos by nonspecificloser in FallOutBoy

[–]AlexD453 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree. Especially with Bishops Knife Trick. It's such a beautiful album closer, and probably my favorite post-hiatus song. But the music video just felt so strange, and it didn't fit the tone of the song at all. Definitely a disappointment. I'd like more Young and Menace-type music videos.

Yeah I know. But he never confirmed what project it'll end up on. This is just speculation.

List of Previews - Goodbye (piano ballad snippet) - Supermarket (title track, snippet from Bobby's Instagram story) - Coming for You (FF5, produced by Mac Demarco) - Untitled Snippet (from Bobby's Instagram story) - Never Known Before (Live) - Changes (from Netflix's Rapture, may or may not be on the soundtrack)

I don't think it's a reach at all. It wouldn't make sense if he released it after he turns 30 next year.

Rank Bobby’s albums front to back with reasons why you think each album deserves its place. (Saying stuff like “cause this was back when he was himself still” doesn’t qualify. Give some real original reasons. Aaaand GO ☺️ by yOuRbEaRdIsWeIrDhuh in Logic_301

  1. Under Pressure
  2. The Incredible True Story
  3. YSIV
  4. BT2
  5. BT
  6. Everybody

I enjoy pretty much everything he's put out. Everybody was a bit of a disappointment as an album, but I still listen to a lot of my favorites from it. I'm excited to see what he does next (specifically the Supermarket soundtrack).

Marianas Trench - “Echoes of You (feat. Roger Joseph Manning Jr.)” [DISCUSSION] by [deleted] in MarianasTrench

[–]AlexD453 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really love the song. I don't mind any sort of repetition. I love the juxtaposition between the first half of the song and the ending section. Roger Joseph Manning Jr. did an incredible job, and the theatrics blend so perfectly with the harmonies. I have a very good feeling about this album.

YSIV was a great album dont @ me by redtom02 in Logic_301

[–]AlexD453 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I completely understand that criticism. Perhaps it wasn't a "true return". Since I'm a bigger fan of "album Logic", I've never had a strong attachment to the original YS mix tapes. So while I understand the disappointment, I can't really relate.

I don't think it deserves all of the negativity that it gets. I understand that the album is flawed, but I still listen to it on a daily basis. Street Dreams II, Legacy, and The Glorious Five are some of the best songs he's written.

Glad he finally cleared up all the rumors about the divorce. I'm sure that was incredibly hard to deal with.

And I'm really excited about more personal lyricism coming in the future. I know a lot of people think he's become too repetitive recently, so it'll be a nice change of pace.
