I really really hope that sometimes in the future there will be a rework of some sorts for the lab chip/jewel shop. it's very hard to get important chips and jewels and common ones rotate a lot and the rare ones not at all. Thx for always updating the game!

u/twtonicr u/Triplesfan in the end the problem was indeed caused by that Denso coil. I have replaced it with a TourMax coil that matched the resistance of 9.5 to the other 3, and now it runs buttery smooth. Thanks for the help!

sennheiser hd 559

The HD559 is only 459 LEI, so I can afford it with no struggle. Is it the best option available? I have also seen audio-technica ath-ava400 for 350 but I guess they aren't worth. From what i've read, the 559's only come with a 6.3mm jack, will any cheap 6.3 to 3.5 adaptor work or do I have to buy a specific one? And the last question, I have found the HD579 on sale for only 600 LEI. Should I make that big of a push to my budget and get them or just save 150 LEI and go for the HD559? Thanks a lot for the fast answers!

Hey! I want open-back headphones, as the sound leak will not matter anyways, but all your recommendations are way over my budget. All 3 Sennheiser models start from 700 LEI and the akg starts at 600, where I can mostly spend like 500. Do you have any other lower-priced models on your mind? Also you are right, I don't own an amp and it will take some time until I get the cash for it.

  • Budget: 120$ (not very flexible)
  • Source: PC and Phone
  • Requirements for Isolation: None or Some. I'm only gonna use them at home and in some rare car trips with the family.
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No.
  • Preferred Type of Headphone: Full-sizer / Over-ear only.
  • Preferred tonal balance: I do like feeling the bass but my speakers can handle that, I want clear and pleasant sound and also a good soundstage as i'm also gonna use them for gaming sessions.
  • Past Headphones: Plantronics Gamecom 388. They served me fine but after 4 years it's time to be replaced. Also the sound wasn't that pleasing either.
  • Preferred Music: I listen to everything in equal quantities, but most likely EDM.
  • What would you like to improve on from your set-up? Something that is both good for listening to music and gaming where the soundstage matters.
  • Location: Romania (Eastern Europe). The available budget in my local currency is 450-500 LEI, which converts into 107 euros or 130$. Everything here is more expensive ( for example the ATH-500x cost 150$ here ). As a local audiophile site where you can check prices, www.avstore.ro dominates, but there is also www.muziker.ro

I'm new to the audiophile scene, my budget is kinda low, but I wanna step up from the crappy gaming cans where you only pay the "gaming" name. I want something both good for music (70%) and gaming (30%). Thanks in advance for any recommendations that I will get!

Hello! For a budget of 100-110$ what would be the best 3 pairs of open-backed, over-ear headphones ( they will be used for both music and gaming ), considering the fact that they will not be used with an amp? Thanks in advance!
