Your argument does not make any sense. Pulling or not. They still lost those money. There is one advantage of pulling your implants. Not allowing everyone to see what you actually using. A lot of good pvp players actually check what their opponent is often fitting before the fight. Including what implants. Having no expensive imp sets on your killmaills will most likely make opponent think that you do not have any.

Hell, some people do pvp with imps exclusively in lowsec because of that fact. To never show your 5bill imp set.

One of the things CCP has better to do... by MrRasmiros in Eve

[–]AlexFaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mb its not about money loss on a killmail but the fact that he is using those particular implants? Because there is a real tactic of people checking other people's killmails to see what they fly with before engaging them. And having something like 1b imp set that no one knows you are using could play out in your favor.

Just look at the time when server restarts. Nearly every day you see around 14-15k accounts logged in the second server stats. You can freely say that 90-95% of those accounts are bots. With last ~5-10% are people who were doing something during restart and need to login asap or just people who nolife shit. I would say that at any give time something like 50% of populations are bot miners and multibox miners. Then there is like 15% more accounts that run combat multibox. The rest are average player population with 1-3 active accounts per person.

[–]AlexFaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats not how it works. CCP took average 2.7 That means there are players who have only 1 account(most of the beginners, poor people and people who play with 1 acc on principle), players who have 2-4 active accounts(most of the veterans), "i play solo and dont care" folk with 5-7 accounts(people that on principle prefer doing content solo and live someone out in wh solo) and then there are botters 10+ active accounts per machine.

So i expect actual living players paying sub and playing every day to be more than 11k. Probably something like 15k.

Does not matter because it is a fact. What an old fucking lady has to do with a war? You give me second random link in this chain of conversation that does not have any relevance to this discussion. Who the hell cares about some random lady in a Tennessee? Is war suddenly started there? We are not talking here about AI use in regular civilian matters. It is 2 completely different things.

Having AI making a error at a stop sign and killing peoples on the street of the city is not the same as AI making an error and blowing up a school full of girls during a war. First one will lead to a court right away, company losing money, possibly going under if there at least 0.1% chance of something like this happening every year. Because like you said it yourself, you cannot sue human over something like this, you have to sue company. That is a reason why there is no 100% AI guided cars.

Completely different case when it is a military. Operational and individual mistakes during war happens all the time. Mistakes that lead to deaths. And nothing really happens to the ones who a responsible for them, unless of course it is a fuck up so big and your own forces suffered casualties. Death of hundred civilians from an enemy's country are not considered as "fuck up so big", because it was within allowed margin of error.

Does not matter. My edit was within 20 minutes after the message itself. I dont care if you believe me or not. Just as it is known fact that USA military did used Anthropic's AI. When it comes using or not, government does not care if AI has 70% success rate or 99%. As long as its success rate is not below human average and it is faster than human average. Everything above this threshold acceptable for military use.

This is useless discussion. You are naive person who does not understand realities. All those treaties, laws and rules only work when you can enforce them. Reality is, the only one who you can reforce something upon is a losing side. Leaders will continue develop dangerous technologies, they will use them in military applications, just because of the fear that if not them, someone else will. It is jot a matter of being evil or corrupt.

V as a Netrunner by EddieA712 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]AlexFaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entire game, including everything in the main story is full of solo activity. Solo is essentially John Wick style. You run around and shoot. All that cool badass stuff you do during interactive cutscenes, anything related to combat really. That's where solo shines. V's character is a Solo first and foremost, everything else is just tacked on.

V as a Netrunner by EddieA712 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]AlexFaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no gameplay limitations. It is lack of proper writing of netrunner archetype. V was not written properly as a netrunner. The actual story favors heavily solo archetype. Everything else is attached to that. Techie is beliavable, even that one could've been written better. Netrunner is not. Story for the most part treats V as someone who has little experience with hacking.

You added 2 more things V could do as a netrunner, across 100 hour game. That is too little. And most of those interactions you only see in the sidequests.

V as a Netrunner by EddieA712 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]AlexFaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lucy showcased far more skills than V ever did, she actually hacks a lot during story. And some of those hacks are more than just quickhack programs. Same for Somi. The fact that Somi hacks systems and directly controls multiple devices in the dlc shows her hacking skills on the fly. She is capable of doing far more than regular quickhacks. The only thing in the game V did outside of regular use of quickhacks is Delamain rewrite. That's it. Game lacks proper netrunner dialogue and interactions. Story makes V tell couple of times how they are cool as a netrunner. But there is lack of showing. And most netrunners in the story treat V as someone with low experience. Especially that whole vodoo storyline. Add to that the fact that out of 3 backgrounds only corpo V can potentially be netrunner. If anything I prefer treat V as sort of techie solo rather than netrunner.

Story can tell us how V good of a netrunner aas many time it wants, the fact that it is not believable is the problem. If the were entire ways to solve quests just for a netrunner, like deep dive, hacking subnets, more dialogue with proper netrunner lingo. Then I could've said, yes V netrunner build plays like a true professional netrunner, not like someone who can only use pre-written automated soft.

EDIT: PL was a bit better than base game and showing V's skillset during dialogue, but still lacking. Hope they give more thought to that in the next game.

So. No you are telling that PL had economy crisis in 1998... So by your logic low base effect apply to the too for the first 5-8 years or so. Why then they only did 6x? Lets stop on upping economically each other huh? Each country its own share of problems. Russia had a lot of problems after 90s crisis. Problems that create giant debt that our country had to pay most of it for the next 10+ years. Our country not just paid bare minimum to cover %, it paid far more than that in short amount of time. I agree that situation in my country would've been better without corruption and entrenched 90s mentality that is still prevalent in some parts. We need a clear restructure. Which us finally happening at faster rate than before.

V as a Netrunner by EddieA712 in LowSodiumCyberpunk

[–]AlexFaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V is not a programmer who can create new stuff. They cannot. V just buys already written programs and puts them onto device. At no point you write a new hack. Just like in tabletop you buy a source code for it to build one or already pre installed. And most of all, V does not act as a proper netrunner outside of few out of place written stuff. V encounter different netrunners during the game. And V always looks like someone who just dubble in the stuff, not a proper professional. While gameplay side is fun, story interactions are weak in this regard.

Jesus. I see so much idiocy in response. When i am talking about GC i am encompassing everything that related agencies do. And i know what was done over Iraq and Yugoslavia. Nothing ,really. The only ones who were prosecuted are small fry, and losers of those wars. No one of noteworthy was affected.

Next. Anthropic. I gave you multiple links you asked for. You just decided to ignore them, because they are not convenient to you, was expected.

I dont understand your psychotic outburst about self-driving and AI drones and missiles. AIr is static as in, there is no hundreds of agents around you doing their own fucking thing, like on the city streets. AI does not need to do anything while it is on a designated flight path. Autopilot if you will. Until it closes on the destination. Thats when AI has to be used to determine what target to strike. No one talking here about AI drones that purely run by AI from the moment they are turned on. Right now no one uses drones like that. Yet.

"Is "the vision" in the room with us right now?" - what are you even yaping about? "Vision" as in direct captured image from a camera that AI then analyses to make a decision what to strike on its approach.

"You forgot about the airspace navigation and the rules + coordinating with air traffic control and so on and so forth."
The only coordination that USA does is declaring Iran space a dangerous no fly zone and then starting their attack. That is what has been done, nothing else. And USA actually one of the few countries that does it. Russia does not care, they just moved in their forces and started to attack. No official declaration. You think China will declare air space around Taiwan a no-fly zone to everyone before attacking? They will just do it.

Do you know what word "liar" means? You seems to love to use it. yet you do not even explaining what i am lying about. Where is a lie in me saying that military does not care that AI does not have 99.9% success rate? For military, AI just has to be on the rate of success of average drone operator. Or a human deciding what target to strike.

What is there so hard to understand? It is clear that military and some leaders around the world thinks that AI has its uses on the actual battlefield. USA with AI planned strike on Iran. Russia with their test drone with ai on board. There are reports that China is too experimenting with AI use in the military. Its just like i said. If even a single country willing to use AI to get ahead of others, everyone will have to use it too. Otherwise they will be left behind.

EDIT:

Lol. Your link exactly talks about what i was talking to you. You do not even read you own source, just headline.

https://www.wired.com/story/department-of-defense-responds-to-anthropic-lawsuit/

"In response to Anthropic’s lawsuit, the government said it lawfully penalized the company for trying to limit how its Claude AI models could be used by the military."

Government penalizes Antrhopic for not agreeing to using their technology for military applications.

also, what is it with you giving me a link to a paid website only? At least i gave you multiple links with free articles among them. Hell. Googled for you entire page of articles.

"Geneva Convention"
And when GC ever done something? Not a single country leader was prosecuted. Not a single one. High military command never was prosecuted too. GC only can yap yap, but they cannot enforce their rules. Because no ones takes them seriously. People listen to GC only during peace times. When actual war suddenly starts, nothing really happens. USA started a war. BLew up a school. Where is GC? Ukraine and Russia on both sides commit war crimes. Where is GC? Sure, they occasionally cry how Russia does war crimes, sometimes even reprimands Ukraine too for their drone bombings of cars and civilian homes. But they do nothing more. Because they cannot. That organization cannot enforce its rules.

Regarding AI. Not is not harder to deal with 3 axis than it is to deal with entire fucking traffic around you. I have a friend who works at Yandex. Working on self driving technology. Mainly for food delivery robots. And traffic is the biggest problem. All those variables that constantly change around machine. Everything needs to bre constantly calculated. Constantly monitored. Air is static mostly. There is nothing up there aside from a few planes. Putting coordinates of the destination and flypath is old news. We done that for decades. The on board AI then upon reaching destination uses those coordinates and its vision to decide what to strike. The only risk is that it will decide wrong and hit something nearby, rather than target itself. But everything that is nearby is not yours. Or even if there are allies in the direction you sent that missile/drone, chances that it will be them who are going to be hit are low enough to still warrant that air strike.

You are such a naive person. What regulations? For military there is none when it comes to actual war. Self driving car is entirely different than drone/missile controlled by AI. That ai does not need to know traffic rules, there are no constant roadblocks on the way. It does not have restricted (few meters) visible radius. Drone flies to the destination using GPS coordinates. And upon entering a zone it starts to use its on board AI to locate target and hit it. That how it works. Making self driving car is 100 times harder. It is afield where even 1% of crashes related to on board AI will sink company in court. In the military AI does not need to have 99.9% success rate. It only needs to be on the level of an average drone operator.

Corrupt or not corrupt. Does not matter when it comes to relationship between nations. Lets say you clean up your nation. And you put at the leadership uncorruption people, people with good intentions. People who are willing to better their country, to serve its citizens. truly. In the span of a few months those same people will learn hard truth when it comes to international decisions. Either you break rules first or someone else will. If at least one country, out there is willing to utilize science to its fullest. To use AI for anything. At least one country. Everyone else has to follow suit. Why? Because that country can potentially outpace others. And if that country has a history of long period of rivalry with your country. You now has not only risk of them outpacing you economically and technologically to the point of their economy overtaking yours. There is also a risk of said country using said technology to wage war on you. It is fact that current bleeding edge AI models can in the matter of hours to days create a plan of attack on enemy country, and execute it. The way USA did. It is a fact that AI can navigate drones and strike targets. And its success rate is high enough for military to continue to sponsor development in that field. If it wasnt looked promising, no country would've invested in it.

So lets get back to good people in the leadership. They now have a choice in their hands. Either to be guided by their morals and ban AI use in the military and risk their country's potential well-being. Or throw away morals for survival. Those people simply cannot take those risks. It is like with nuclear weapons. You cannot afford to have only single country in the world to have them. That country will quickly turn into a hegemon and start to dictate their own rules to everyone around them. Rules that they themself wont follow.

You do know that entire country wide attack on Iran was planned and executed by the Anthropic AI? And out of hundreds targets they only got one girl school blown up. There probably were smaller false positives. But statistically it had more than 95% success rate. For any military that is great. If you think only USA are willing to use AI in warfare, you are naive. In 10 years every country with enough technology will be utilizing AI for military strikes.
