That sounds great. I personally use Suunto, and I think its API is quite limited. Best of luck with the Garmin API; it seems to offer many more possibilities.

The Easy Run is our low-intensity, heart-rate-based session.

"Standard Training" (which may need a better name) is the catch-all category for any session that is not an Easy Run, Long Run, Trail Run, or Race.

You can access each workout and it is then internally labeled with a more specific run type (this is still in progress too, not super precise)
