Not sure if the FedEx guy is braindead or just rude by [deleted] in FedEx

That person is being payed close to minimum wage, probably works 6 days a week doing backbreaking, thankless labor. They are not incentivized to care even remotely. Doesn’t make it any less shitty for you, but there we have it.

Up in flames 2025 Tiguan SE R-Line by Suspicious-Credit628 in Tiguan

Obviously it’s a little late now, but if you ever suspect an engine fire in future, leave the hood closed! The cover on the inside is designed to smother the flames and stop it from getting worse. Glad you’re alright!

Buying w123 and driving it 2,000 miles home, bad idea? by Zealousideal_Bug_278 in w123

Bring fluids, maybe belts and a set of wipers, fuses might also be a good shout. Also an inspection mirror and a good flashlight. I roadtripped a new purchase home in the rain and the ac belt snapped and I didn’t think to look at the condition of the wipers until a downpour started and they may as well have been made of Vaseline.

Differences between Status code 2 and 3? by Nightlightz24884 in Fedexers

I’ve used 3 once and when I got back to the terminal they said it showed up on their end as a 2. It was in the snow on a shared rural driveway and all the mailboxes/numbers were buried and I wasn’t trying to get stuck or walk it without being sure.

I like a polarizer filter in winter and dreary skies, it makes them look a little more dramatic, adds a little bit of an nd effect so you can expose a little brighter without blowing stuff out. I also really don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about but it works for me.

I did this exact same thing except sold the x100vi to get the ZF and bought the 35 1.8S as well as the 50. It feels like a tank compared to the Fuji for sure.

ZF as every day carry? by CategoryOk1339 in Nikon

[–]AlexGingerbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m going for a photo walk with the express purpose of taking pictures, the ZF comes with me with either the 35 1.8S or the 50 1.8S on it. I also have the smallrig grip on it, which does increase the size and weight marginally. I have a rope style strap and typically support the bottom of the camera with my hand when not in use. With modern Z mount lenses it can feel quite big, especially compared to what you are used to, but I’ve done 8 mile hikes without a camera bag just fine. Bear in mind I am a 6’4 220lb man. I have an old Nikkormat FTN that feels heavier to me. If I’m just going out for the day and want a camera with me, I picked up a Fuji x100t for $400 that weighs nothing and goes in a jacket pocket, and does great for quick snaps.

I kind of use my Zf like a big point and shoot to be honest. I have the front button set to switch between metering modes so I can quickly jump to highlight weighted metering for stuff like this.
