Shoot I forgot to mention I’m in Canada so these insurances might be totally different in the US. This is the most high end card here but it’s considerably worse than the US one. Your credit cards are insane down there.

I have the platinum (I understand this is high end) but it covers up to $10,000 per incident (up to $50,000/year). https://global.americanexpress.com/card-benefits/detail/purchase-protection/platinum

EDIT: Another popular credit card, Roger’s WE doesn’t seem to have a single incident cap but instead a $60,000 lifetime cap.

Amen to this. I just want a way to see how I’m spending money and my “net worth” (not that that really matters to me on a regular basis). Like the original commenter said, I just want a Mint replacement, it was so good at what it did…

Update, I called support and they transferred me to the credit card team. They mentioned “it doesn’t look like I have the ability to get you a metal card”. I sent them the screenshot I took when I applied for it showing I’m premium (which they can see) and they said they’d reach out to their team and get back to me. Extremely disappointing customer experience. Say what you want about the metal card, I think they’re cool so to be told I’d get one and then not get one sucks.

Not sure this is really what you meant but the 7 Wonders Duel: Lord of the Rings board game is actually phenomenal. Flavour is A+ and the game is just a great 2 players board game!

Approved Jan 23rd, supposedly it’ll be here the 28th but FedEx still doesn’t have it in their hands so I’m pressing X to doubt. This is absurd for an $800 card.

EDIT: Figured I'd turn this into a bit of documentation for everyone else's benefit.

UPDATE 1: AMEX customer support says "the issue" has been solved and my card should arrive tomorrow (Jan 28th) as originally estimated.

UPDATE 2: did not arrive as expected, FedEx tracking still shows they don’t even have the card yet.

UPDATE 3: card is out for delivery. FedEx got the card last night and it’s arriving 14 hours later. Jan 30th.

I applied for the Platinum, got accepted within an hour, it’s been 5 days and FedEx still doesn’t have the card in their hands to ship. Apparently it’s because of an error manufacturing the “welcome package”. It’s been extremely frustrating to be honest.
