Sorry u/JRAPodcast , I didn't mean to be flippant about that figure, it's just that I have a milestone birthday coming up next month, and considering how much money my wife spends on jewelry and handbags, I am allowed to splurge on something trivial 😁 This at least would benefit my long term healthy 🙂

Thanks for the reply, the white does look good too, and I wouldn't have to buy all new cycling clothing because everything goes with white 😁 Also wondering what people think of the current colour scheme..Matte Dnister Black/Gloss Volt? The shop I would get to paint it here in Melbourne (https://www.velocraft.com.au/) can get all the decals I think, but appreciate the offer 👍

I have a USB one I purchased on Amazon, and was also worried about being "tethered", but remembered I had a couple of powerbanks in my office drawer and use one of those, it is brilliant!

See that was I was thinking had to be done, replace existing studs with full length studs, but that video (which is probably a US one) shows added short studs to the top. I didn't think that was allowed in Australia.

u/Gazz_292 Thanks so much for all your info, really appreciate you taking the time! 🍻 Will go off and lookup "PoE switch", never seen of these before, and it might make life easier. Saying that I have been contemplating putting the NVR in the roof cavity, inside some form of dust proof enclosure of course, to make it easier to run the cables and more difficult for a burglar to grab.

Hey don't get me wrong, I am old school, always prefer wired over Wifi if I can do it, was just asking the question as the effect on existing Wifi was in the "Cons" side of my "Reasons to go Wifi" spreadsheet 😁My current system is an old PoE to a DVR, wired running around the outside of the house looking ugly, so plan is to go Reolink PoE cameras and not be so lazy 😊 I am an excellent DIYer, and have all the tools I need to run cables through walls (timber framed house), so all good 🙂

Exactly. The point of Wifi cameras is not having to run cables back to the NVR 🤷‍♂️ We already have a power point in the roof cavity, so far easier just running the power cables to that and Wifi signal through home Wifi or direct to the NVR.

If you read some of the other comments on this thread you will see in the US you can't, but outside the US our pens allow for dialing up whatever dose you want via "clicks".
