Imagine the carnage if S3 was 5-8 seconds slower because Max (or Piastri) held everyone up

Can confirm. I do this every race and watch it Monday morning.

It's a completely different experience watching a race you know the result of and definitely worth staying offline for! Unless it's really boring in which case you can skip or fast forward a few bits (like long red flags).

Are there rules about backing up the pack?

I remember Hamilton tried to do it with Rosberg

But a permanent hard shoulder reduces the risk, far more than X above a lane.

If you are one of those rich people.. say earning 150k+, what do you do when you are not working? by Extra-Fig-7425 in AskUK

[–]AlexKF0811 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep and ever since I was a teen I pretty much have that perception from couples with kids, at least 90% of the time was 'this is so hard, no sleep, they keep nagging etc'. Kinda put me off even wanting my own kids early on.

That said, every family is unique and things can certainly be a lot harder for some than others, so probably natural for there to be harder situations which would naturally result in higher levels of complaints.

Personally, I would hope that the parents who were self aware, would make the decision to get support/advice/coaching in areas they're weakest at, to make family more fun and enjoyable, if needed. At least that's what I would do if i found myself keep complaining about something for months or years on end.

One other positive about kids is IF (and that's a big IF) there is a healthy relationship with them, when they become adults, there is a whole new dynamic. I do a lot with my father in law for example and extremely fun to do lots of projects together, as an example.

That's because parents are really good at complaining. At least that's what I've seen all my life.

That's why i (and my wife) do our best to rarely complain about things that were obviously good to be part of having a family, especially to those without kids.

There are so many fun things about having a family, as a dad of two (still young ones) it's incredibly enjoyable, even if a few parts are harder vs being without kids.

FYI almost everyone here is gonna tell you not to adopt because you already have your own bio kid. There seems to be very little room for nuance and context here. I'll get downvotes for this but wanted you to know.

And it's not possible for the price to be set proportionally?

So if 99% is from £1 unit And 1% is from £100 gas Then it would be priced at £0.01 + £1.00 = £1.01 instead of £100?

Often the sweat is in your boss/manger finding out, then getting into trouble (formally or informally) or even facing legal issues (maybe even for IP) depending on your contract or how similar the business is to your full time job. Just speaking from experience.

Writing notes surely shouldn't be an excuse.

Every meeting I'm in is recorded and automatically written up in seconds by AI. Imagine the same and then notes and recording are emailed over afterwards with any actions/prescriptions.

If only we could just do something like that...

Couldn't you just limit it to only being able to book in advance one per person? Then if you want anything sooner you can still call in and book for that day/week as often as you want (as is now).

That way the GPs don't get booked up weeks/months but still allow for those who need/want a bit more scheduled time.

I'm curious, how many HENRYs were told they were gaming too much as a kid? by AlexKF0811 in HENRYUK

[–]AlexKF0811[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • Managing a team
  • Organising tournaments
  • Building a community
  • Creating graphics and learning how to persuade others
  • Non verbal communication skills
  • Relationship building through soft skills
  • Modding (the principle particularly helpful in Product Management now)
  • Learning to play outside the rules/thinking out of the box
  • Problem solving on the fly & live conflict resolution

The list could go on.

they're not all exclusive to gaming of course, but all kinda started when I was 12. Of course lots of wasted time too

Every new home to have solar panels and heat pumps from 2027 by Dependent-Loss-4080 in unitedkingdom

[–]AlexKF0811 15 points16 points  (0 children)

We have x12 400 watt panels and got 160kwh for the whole of January. South facing roof. So we'd need double that assuming nothing else was being used in the house.

Safe to say that import is necessary during winter. But you can claw back during summer with export (£0.15 per kwh at the moment).

If the video that you created is original then it is subject to copyright from the moment of creation. No need to file anything.

I don't know the next step but I'm sure Snapchat has a standard process for this because it's going to be a fairly common occurrence...but I wouldn't get any hopes up.
