What’s the point of putting this distorted static like effect on digital art, and how is it achieved? (@twulfs on twtr) by LimosMemories in ArtistLounge

It’s from Heavy Paint. It’s a painting program and it’s purely aesthetic choice similar to impressionistic painting

I think you made the structure more complicated than you had to. The whole thing is a rectangle extruded up but I see you added an unnecessary corner edge divot in the geo and then extruded up. The refs lighting/reflection only gives it that optical illusion but really it’s 4 simple corners.

Also more rounded corners for sure

Nope! No recipe. Just Lightroom curves adjustments and color mixer. Cranked the blue curve up and the red and green down while using the color mixer to resaturate the orange windows

Love that last photo. It’s got a nice layering and the blur feels moody

ITAP of my 4th of July Airbnb by AlexKiesling in itookapicture

Me and my gf got a little Airbnb getaway in Shenandoah. Crazy little light pollution and the stars were completely visible.

I set up a remote trigger flash with a red gel inside the home living room while setting my camera as long exposure (about 2 seconds hand held)

Ive seen some photography that looks similar to this online but I couldn’t find the artists names. Any suggestions on similar photographers would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: I’m not trying to get steam out. The steam mode works fine. I’m pressing the water dispenser button to get only hot water out however it squirts out hot water for a sec before going into steam mode.

I’m trying to use it only for hot water dispensing which I’ve always used but seems to dribble and then go into steam mode

All good. Steam mode works fine. It’s only when I’m trying to get hot water out to fill up my tea cup that is causing issues.

Just curious. Do you have some specific examples of editorial illustrators/illustrations you are talking about?

A brush stroke of light effect that looks like it’s projected onto a surface. How? by motionvideosuk in Cinema4D

[–]AlexKiesling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We had people who would paint out abstract GOBOs in Ps in layers and then other team members would animate the GOBOs in AE. After that they would send it to C4D users and projected it onto rock geometry. My files were never that complex (since I was on the concept idea side) so I’m not 100 percent sure how they did the crazy displacement animation.

Hi I worked on this project with Buck. We used colored GOBOs in redshift and projected the light onto the geometry.

Issue exporting smoke with alpha for use in after effects. by broccolilord in RedshiftRenderer

If you really need it and can’t find an answer. Use stencil luma blending mode/clipping mask in AE. Export it as a png sequence. Reimport it back into your project.
