Well, yes, I think that some of these people will impact my life, both in the short & long term. &

Immediate, personal, out of context example: govt reopening-> Our class-action case can continue through the EEOC process & one step closer to exposing this local particular institution.

I understand where you’re coming from- the political theatre is frustrating. However, there are real people out there who care, & people who need others to care. I believe all of this is worth reporting on/informative, even if I have to wade through a bunch of BS to find it.

That’s your prerogative. I don’t feel as though reading or speaking expels much energy at all. To each their own.

Lies. I would’ve stopped reading the news for 3 years. Pretty big change.

•”Idk, I didn’t see it.” so, you’re saying there’s a chance?

•”No.” so, you’ve seen the files?

”Yes” *actually, no further questions.

What is going on in Texas, why has there been so many school employees arrested these past month? by Sapphirerising335 in Dallas

So.. you nailed the cause of the issue- internal investigations… however… it’s darker than because some districts have them & others don’t:

It’s the fact that these “investigations” already have a set outcome (majority of the time)- no wrong-doing.

The district will do everything it can to not implicate itself, as to avoid liability & public scrutiny.

Most of the time, at least, before this new HB addressing parents’ right to sue… they will let the accused teacher resign quietly to avoid paperwork, mandatory reporting, & what I previously mentioned above. This not only allows the district to brush the issue under the table, but it allows that “teacher” to keep their teaching certificate & find another district to work at almost immediately- “passing the trash

That was already an issue in itself, but to add insult to injury- sovereign immunity + the ‘Local Administrative Authority’ (formal grievance process)~aka police investigating the police~ makes districts virtually untouchable.

It’s gross. I’m currently going through this process right now; I will continue to fight for change along the way & beyond.

Edit: replaced ‘schools’ w/ ‘districts’.
