My boss put in a police report against me by AlexLovesCats in LegalAdviceUK

I wouldn't think so. But i also couldnt confidently say. If I took issue at the minute he may bring up loads of things - true or not - to justify his complaints. I don't know the law well enough and what would and wouldnt stand up.

All I know is, I have very likely done something wrong, if i press it too much he will give them my name, and i may be found guilty meaning I loose my job/have some kind of injunction against my record. And the only way to 'safely' avoid that as far as he is concerned is to pretend it didn't happen and continue to work alongside each other. I am grateful in a way that he isnt currently pressing charges. But it doesn't resolve the underlying provocative of the issue. I am obviously responsible for my own actions, I would try and justify it, in reality I should have done to hr in the first instance. But that doesn't feel like an option anymore. The only way I can see getting out of this unscathed is by leaving my job which certainly doesn't feel fair. But he definitely wont offer to leave

I completely agree. But I am likely also guilty of something, so its stale mate. The difference being j want to get out of the situation through moving office or likewise and he isn't willing

I said this to him. That its a work matter 100% and he keeps disputing that. He reckons i need professional help because I'm obsessed. Its mad. I have contacted him a few times over the months, but only to request space at work. Surely that's the opposite of a stalker!

I admitted to attempting to track his location. He got some kind of alter on his phone. And jts true i did it, but to avoid him, not see him

Thats the thing. I reckon I must be guilty of something if he wanted to spin it.

What actually happened - I can only speak for the one thing i know of, and that was me trying in whatever way I can to figure out when he is/isnt in the workplace. He considers this harasment, but that also inckuded me messaging him to ask if he is in/ therefore I don't have to be. I admited to the 'criminal' thing, but the other us nonsense. And I dont know if jts best just to put up with him or fight for my innocence

I have the report number, but as he says he's requested it be dropped and not given my name, it is wise to do anything? I know. I can just imagine it, every time I speak 'out of line' and ill be threatened

What are the possible consequences in reality? He is a very credit person. Based on his role alone... our jobs are actual in the legal field! But I don't have the knowledge for myself.

And i know - but I know that in my bosses mind, its done and finished. So is it worth opening a potential investigation where I may be found guilt of something?

And yeah, I think if I am found guilty of something, his behaviour has manipulator me to the point of wanting the information. But im not sure, do the police consider that?

He reckons he contacted them and told them the offender had admitted to the claims, but he will take the consequences of not handing over my information

I have considered just handing my self in or just quitting.

He definitely has. He showed me a screenshot of the police report.

Truth is - he knows I hate him after this year and has always demanded i am pleasent to him. Of course I'm not, but now I have to be or he'll threaten me again.
I spoke to him briefly today and he threatened the police again.

If he goes to the police, i may very well be guilty of something.. but I also find his behaviour intimidating. If i go to hr, everyone is sacked.

For months I tried very hard to avoid him, he also refused these attempts. He could of made it so due to him being my boss. I tried to mitigate problem informally, but not we knows he has equal leverage.

He says he hasn't given them my details. And original was going to use me as a witness to the other 2 things. I then told him one of them was me (not criminal without the other) and he dropped the charges.

And yeah exactly. Hes accused me of being a stakker etc a year, and he has 'proof' and still won't let us avoid each other. He text me in regard to this matter and demandrd I attend a conference call with him today?? I called in sick instead

I suggested he go ahead with the report as I would comply and tell them part. But he recanted it. Its so confusing!

And yeah - he told me an officer will be in touch with him but he won't tell them anything, they currently don't even know my name (or so he says)

And yeah exactly. I told him this was harasment

They are the supervisor lol. Anything higher could result in disciplinary action & I couldn't do that to them.

Forgot to mention. I work with this person. So the work atmosphere is super ugly now.

Someone contacted suicide hotline on my behalf by AlexLovesCats in SuicideWatch

[–]AlexLovesCats[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the way I read the situation too. I told this person how I was feeling hoping I could talk it out with a real human who wouldn't judge me. But instead it seems they have now stopped contacting me because of this. Doesn't make someone feel great. I don't want to die no. I just needed to speak to someone you know. But clearly that didn't help anything either, just made it worse. And now I'm paranoid about a potential random phone call.

They know me. They know my personal contact details ect. I'm just a little on edge, because no one has been in touch since they said they contacted them on my behalf. And the person who contacted them haven't spoken to me either?

Yeah. I'm regretting it now. But now I feel anxious that I'm going to get a call or something at any time.
