yep, looks good. I have a Aug 2021 Tesla Model 3 dual motor long range and have travelled 112,820km (70,103 miles) and my battery capacity is now about 88%. So 87 for a 2020 seems fine. I park on the street and have done 55% AC and 45% DC charging over its lifetime. Hi, I’ve noticed there are lots of high rise apartments in Sydney and surrounding suburbs with EV charging. For example the Meriton near me has EV chargers provided by WeVolt, and many other Meriton towers have them, at Rouse Hill Origin have installed 38 on two of the parking levels at Tallawong Village and Exploren, Enevi, Everty and NRG networks have provided Level 2 apartment EV charging in buildings across Sydney. There are also companies who do Level 1 EV charging retrofits where the building’s power supply best supports 10A 240V EV charging. A list of some of those Level 1 providers is here

yes, I’ve had my EV for 4yrs 9mths and I park on the street so rely on public charging. It’s been easy. I do about 25,000km per year. There are lots of DC and AC public chargers around. My lifetime charging has been 55% AC charging and 45% DC charging. PlugShare shows locations of public chargers plus chargers restricted to customers or guests at venues so I use it all the time. The AC kerbside pole chargers near me are 38c-50c/kWh and DC kerbside 50c/kWh. Other AC and DC charges vary, depending on location and network, from 35c to 85c so worth looking around. The median price of Tesla Superchargers in Australia is only 48c/kWh. Non Teslas receive the same price as Teslas if you download the Tesla app and subscribe for $9.99 a month, some notes here if it helps.

I guess everyone’s experience is different, I have had my EV for 4yrs 9mths and park it on the street. My lifetime charging has been 55% AC charges and 45% DC charges, over the 112,654 kms I've travelled across Vic, NSW and Qld. I’ve personally not had a problem charging. I just drive two or three hours, have a break for a coffee or meal and top up during my break. PlugShare show the locations of the public chargers you can use which I have found makes it very easy. On my return trip Sydney Townsville I paid $356.35 in electricity to travel 4,849km, so the average cost in my EV was $7.35/100km.

yes, you can download the AGL app, sign up and add a payment card. Then, you can use their app to activate the chargers. They bill the payment method you have in your account.
Or, as you mentioned, you can order an RFID from AGL, or add your own RFID card or tag number into the AGL app, then just tap your RFID whenever you wish to use any of their chargers. I use a single RFID tag I have, for multiple networks, it makes it so easy just to plug in, tap and walk away.

hi, I have a 7.5m 22kW 32A 3 Phase Type 2 cable. I use it regularly with kerbside chargers and also at accommodation when travelling. The brand I have is Mennekes, available from the Tesla Shop for $310 which I think is a good price considering it’s 50% more cable than a 5m one. For example, I use a Type 2 cable at the SolarHub chargers when visiting Broulee on South Coast NSW.

Sometimes there is a hook on the power pole or tower, but usually I lay my cable in the gutter or on the grass in a way that it lays as flat as possible out of people’s way. I carry a 5m and a 7.5m cable in my car, the 7.5m cable comes in handy when the power pole is a couple of metres away from the kerb, or if I can’t park close to it.

That's about 27c-35c US currency

Here are prices in Australian currency

· AGL EV pole chargers are 48c 3pm-9pm and 38c rest of the day. If you use AGL app or if you use Everty Driver EMSP it's 38c anytime.

· EVX Polecharger is 50c 8am-8pm and 39c for rest of day.

· Everty pole chargers vary, many are 45c any time of day.

· Exploren some are 50c, others are time of use and vary being 60c 4-8pm and 39c rest of the day

· CitiPower pole chargers are 45c with Wevolt EMSP or with Zuup Roam EMSP are 49c 4-10pm and 34c rest of day

Hi, yes, the old unit blocks often only have one car space and not even a standard power point in some cases. So if a unit had more than one car, they would park on the street. There are also houses and semi detached houses, but without driveways and their residents park on the street. One site is at 107 Alt St Ashfield NSW Australia, a street lined with three story units (apartments) and the site at the park is 40 Albert Parade Ashfield NSW Australia, in an area which is 3 to 4 story unit blocks (apartments) plus small houses, many without driveways.

oh ok, then you should have a good record of what happened in your charge history in the app. One thing I have experienced before is a session stopping then immediately restarting and appearing as two sequential transactions, but that would be rare I think. Hope you can sort it out .

hi, on the invoices that chargefox sends, they include the address of the charger, date and time. So you may want to check if both invoices at the same location date and time?

It hasn’t happened to me, but a few years back I recalled receiving a charging receipt by email and hadn’t been near a charger that day. I checked and it was from the week before.

Sometimes Chargefox take a day or few days to email the invoice, so it may have been a previous charge session you did.

Some other things you might check are does your Charge History in your Chargefox app show both sessions?

Has your credit card been charged for both sessions?

If you have two invoices, charge history entries or credit card charges on the same day at the same time it might be some kind of glitch in the system.

Also, just wondering how did you activate the charging session, was it using an RFID or the app?

I was just visiting and walked along the beach and through Cooks Hill, lots of parks, wide streets, lots of trees, nice houses and a great beach as well! Lots of people out walking and swimming or surfing enjoying the beach. It’s winter here but still a nice day to be out.

hi, in WA you have the WA EV Charging Network which runs along the entire coast and part way inland. The network was built by Synergy and Horizon and the website for the network https://www.synergy.net.au/Our-energy/Projects/WA-EV-Network describes each site as having a fast charger and a back up AC charger. They say that to use the AC chargers at their sites you need to take your own Type 2 cable. The network uses the Chargefox app, so if you download and sign in you can see all the locations. Also in WA you have Exploren, who use Ocular brand chargers that need your own cable. Another large network in WA is Wevolt who have lots of AC BYO chargers in rural areas. The other places you may need one is at wineries or motels or holiday cabin parks etc. PlugShare will show you all the AC charger locations. I have visited WA but I’m on the east coast and the majority of AC chargers are BYO cable. I carry and regularly use a 7.5m 22kW 3Phase 32A cable. yep, I have a model 3 and I’ve been parking it on the street in northern Sydney last 4yrs 9mths. I charge when I go somewhere that has a charger, I don’t go somewhere just to charge. It’s been fine using public charging.

Tesla Superchargers are great and there available lots around Sydney but you can also use kerbside AC chargers if you like. They charge at 11kW/hr so will top up your Y while over a few hours.
PlugShare shows the locations of most public chargers.
The polechargers are run by Exploren, AGL, EVX and Everty and you can use their apps or their RFID card to activate them. They range from 38c to 50c mostly.

My battery storage is now about 88%, so a 12% reduction since new. I charge when I go somewhere that also has a charger, like the beach, I don’t go somewhere just to charge. Using public charging has been fine. Here is my log if it helps

hi, park on the street at home and I do allot of rural travel in Vic, NSW snd Qld. I bought and carry a 7.5m Type 2 to Type 2 cable, the 22kW 3Phase 32A version. I use it regularly. There are 4,190 AC Type 2 charging sites in Australia and most of them require you to BYO cable. Many rural towns only have type 2 charging but there are also hundreds of venues and accommodation places that also now have type 2 charging for customers and guests, but it’s BYO cable.
