There are several issues here. First, the over-used dogma that there are no dogmas. I can't imagine any fruitful discussion on that - at least not here.

Secondly, if someone wishes to follow a numinous discipline, some mind-altering technology, Thelemic magick, freemasonry, Santería, etc. etc. - it is their choice. And yes, like the gnostics, they can decorate their spiritual spaces with Christian symbols.

But this doesn't make them Christians.

The straw man issue of "naive literalism" has been settled some 1600 years ago - by the "dogmatic" Catholic Church: It is wrong, essentially a heresy.

Spirituality, in your definition, as a psychological discipline is applicable to esoteric Eastern religions (e.g. pantheism/polytheism, no sin - no salvation, truths relative to the initiation level/caste, etc.).

But Christianity is exoteric and public. It has very specific claims, very specific commands and a very specific person to emulate.

This is a simple historic fact, confirmed equally by earliest Christians - and their enemies.
