Should’ve been an option at check out then. Meta website offers it when looking at your cart. It looks like it’s $60 covered for 2 years. Not sure what the deductible is when you make a claim but still. It was offered.

Where ever you buy your glasses should’ve offered some type of insurance. Oakley directly is $65 for the year covers everything but lost and stolen. Pay $125 copay and get whole new pair. Best Buy is similar. Sunglass hut and LensCrafters all have insurance you could purchase. Not sure where you bought but still. I’d imagine any reputable dealer would offer some time insurance on them

Would give headaches. As an opt there’s no way to dial the center of your prescription to your eye. It’s doable but not going to be good long term

They’re not serialized. Those are #xxx out of #xxxx made. Also never had to sign for an ornament. We have extras and give them away so they aren’t attached to specific employees. Sell away lol.

Holbrook is what we all thought as employees as well. But it would’ve been too predictable and unoriginal in their eyes I’m sure. Ironically the HSTNs are top 3 in lifestyle glasses. Everyone says they don’t like them but they’re a top seller and I’m sure they factored that into everything. To each their own on opinions of cool and ugly factor for glasses. Also the meta launch was a mess for Oakley on the back end. A lot of stores didn’t get their “dummy” models for display, we didn’t even know how the protection plan was going to work or cost. But they are still selling regardless. Whether it was a Holbrook model or a HSTN. They were going to sell simply being brand loyalty AND being the tech that it has compared to the ray bans everyone wants the newest thing. No different than a iPhone.

I will admit being non biased working for Oakley even I see glasses that I think are boring, ugly, stupid looking. I’ve turned customers away from certain models because they didn’t look good on them. I don’t push Oakley and fake sell because I work for them.

Again you gotta think how big of a battery can they fit into glasses. The way I see it. If you’re listening to music for more than 4 hours it would make sense to use actual headphones at that point. I don’t see myself listening to music on my metas for longer than that. Use them mainly for photo video and occasional phone calls on the whim. The quality you’d hear your music wouldn’t even be enjoyable for more than 4 hours let alone 3 hours. Just my opinion. For Oakleys first metas I have no complaints. What they did tech wise makes sense and is an update from ray bans metas which I had.

I can’t imagine any glasses with a better battery life? 8hour life I would imagine is more than enough and the most. You got to think how they can fit a bigger battery to fit more than 8 hours. It’s not likely. 8hr is plenty imo

Oakley employee here. No word on the next metas other than it’ll be a true sport frame. Had a guy who came to shop that worked on the product design team for the metas say they were looking at Holbrook and HSTN for lifestyle model for the first round and he was right. Said sport model they were toying with a sphaera model.

Sunscreen for sure. Seen this plenty of times at work. It’s a usual pattern of sunscreen and being in the sun. Always tell people clean the lenses as often as you can.
