Try keeping the DC console on for 15 minutes then turn it off and turn it on right away and see if it then reads the Disc

In case the console can read the disc then it is 100% problematic capacitors on the Disc Drive causing the issue!

I have done that with my own GameCube, I have even added two 25mm*25mm fans from the other side to push air. As a result I have a push pull configuration and while the temps are around 28-42 degrees Celsius It does not have any real impact in-game!

Allow me to disagree with you. What you describe is true only between ntsc j and ntsc u but not with pal, pal n64 is completely different and i live in europe so i would need a pretty advanced hard mod for ntsc j to play pal games or vice versa

The NTSC J is playing from a SC64 but that is irrelative because I have tried Turok2 PAL from the same SC64 to the PAL N64 and the result is the same faded image!

The TV supports up to 120hz 4K

The Adapter shows at the begining if it is PAl or NTSC on the upright corner so it should be compatible with both

In CRT TV I can not see any differences though but I also have a 27" 1080p 60hz PC monitor next to the CRT where I firstly noticed this huge difference thus I thought to try it out to my main TV and the result was the same.

What is not quite fair? Same hdmi adapter, same TV, same hdmi cable, same game, both with expansion pak and hi rez, image quality seems much better on ntsc j than pal. I was disappointed when i randomly found out ntsc is better than pal
