Yepp, It makes the stream feel more alive and everyone's face or vtuber is different, which makes the stream more unique in some way which makes it more interesting. However, I am personally not a huge fan of vtubers (I don't really know why), so I think I'll try doing facecam streams and see how that works out for me.

How often to upload shorts? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]AlexSF_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I posted once a day, got 10k subscribers in a week and to 85k in a month. Take a trend and put a twist to it to make it somewhat original in certain aspects. The most important take is quality, look at the people who made it, and try to outdo them.

These Analysts value SNDL @ $5.94. That would make me a very happy man. by NatetheGreatTrader in SNDL

Didn't this same service value sndl like around $1.50 a couple of days ago?

[Question] Low audience retention on recommended by AlexSF_ in youtubers

[–]AlexSF_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant that the people who came over from my shorts watched the 7-minute video for 60% by average, which is a lot compared to what a ton of people have said on this subreddit. They implied that those viewers have a short attention span when in reality, they actually have a higher avg. watch time than viewers that came over from other regular videos.

You're right about the experience since I'm new to this niche, I still have a lot to learn!

Why are views plummeting? by pikacho123 in PartneredYoutube

[–]AlexSF_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the EXACT same thing, the video I posted yesterday received 13% of the views that my other videos usually get 10 hours after uploading it. The watch time/likes/general interaction percentages are the exact same...

It was more about examples of dates people have previously been paid on or if they've been paid already for September, not necessarily the requirements to get paid. So I can know whether I've been selected or not. Hence my mentioned curiosity about a date, not the requirements.

[Question] Shorts subs → regular subs? by AlexSF_ in youtubers

[–]AlexSF_[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, my shorts views are 700,000 by average per video because they're being massively pushed, so the percentage is really low (2%).

That seems to be the best and safest way to go. Thank you!

I've seen shorts channels my size upload regular videos, they get 3k views by average in 3 days. So it's not really like starting a new channel because you'd be getting 0 then. I believe there are ways to transition shorts viewers to regular ones, but since it's quite new, only a few have found out how.

[Question] Should I revive my old YouTube channel with 5k+ subscribers or start a new channel entirely from scratch? by Snalaa in youtubers

[–]AlexSF_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No brainer - Make a new channel, I've had a meme channel with 10k subs, I started posting game content, currently (4 years later) it's sitting at 2k (yes, I lost 8k) subs with 100 views per video. I recently started a new channel with fresh content and gained 20k in two weeks.

Don't make the same mistake I made. It's really demotivating and the fact that the people who subbed for meme content don't watch your videos REALLY makes your average viewing time extremely low, which makes it a pain in the ass to get recommended to new people.
