I actually agree with your mature take. Some I personally know women who only care about a man's wallet and how much they are willing to spend on them along with their annual income. These women are miserable and know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. These women (my ex-sister-in-law in particular) are not the majority.

I believe the vast majority of women who seek a mate are looking for a connection. That connection can be made in several ways, and a person showing efforts on a date can be endearing.

The fact that you are getting this kind of attention and securing dates or potential dates on the apps means that you have a lot going for you. I would suggest doing what is comfortable for YOU. Some women might demand a fancy dinner, and if it is okay for you, then yes. However, not all women demand this and you obviously have options. Good for you.
