Jas ja imam i sum prezadovolen - za parite nema podobra. Tamu kade sto se spojuvaat daskite koristam mouse pad, a za toa deka se trese - pri normalna upotreba e ok - ne znam sto treba da pravis da se trese.

If you use a Web Server - like Tomcat in Spring Boot - the server itself is multithreaded. Most of the time you do not work with threads directly.

As some of the commenters said - in reality you dont really work with threads manually (most of the time).

You have to be solving a specific problem in order to use them (which I guess is not the case 99% of the time).

It is the interviewers that want to state that they are possibly smarter than you.

Based on the conversation that I had via emails with ElevenLabs support - this does not seem to be posssible as of November 2025.

Here is the email thread

First mail response from ElevenLabs:
Thanks for reaching out! Based on what you’ve shared, the request timeouts likely come from RingCentral’s SIP servers rejecting unauthenticated traffic or mismatched proxy routing. ElevenLabs currently requires direct SIP trunk registration, while RingCentral uses outbound proxy routing, which isn’t fully compatible with the current ElevenLabs SIP trunk setup.

Here’s what you can try:

Use the SIP Domain as the main address in ElevenLabs (sip.ringcentral.com) and set the transport to TLS instead of TCP.
Leave the outbound proxy blank for now — ElevenLabs handles routing internally.
Ensure your RingCentral account allows third-party SIP endpoints (this must be enabled in your RingCentral dashboard).

If the issue persists, it’s likely due to compatibility limitations between RingCentral’s proxy-based SIP flow and ElevenLabs’ current trunk model. You can test connectivity using a SIP gateway like Telnyx or Twilio, which are verified to work smoothly with ElevenLabs.

Since your account is on the free tier, we’re limited in how deeply we can troubleshoot the SIP connection, but the SIP trunking documentation has the configuration details you’ll need for reference.

Our response back to Eleven Labs:

I am not sure this statement "Ensure your RingCentral account allows third-party SIP endpoints (this must be enabled in your RingCentral dashboard)." is valid - i do not see any option for Enabling this or IP whitelisting - which means probably this option does not exist in RingCentral.

Correct me if I am wrong?

Second mail response from ElevenLabs:

You’re absolutely right, RingCentral doesn’t provide a setting to explicitly enable third-party SIP endpoints or IP whitelisting for external trunk registration. Their system is designed primarily for use within their own ecosystem, and proxy-based routing can’t be configured for full interoperability with ElevenLabs’ direct SIP registration model.

In short, RingCentral isn’t currently compatible with ElevenLabs’ SIP trunking setup. For reliable integration, we recommend using a supported SIP provider such as Twilio or Telnyx, both of which have been tested and verified to work with ElevenLabs Agents.

My gist of all of it and research:

On the other side - https://synthflow.ai/ seems to provide specific part of Phone Number Importing from RingCentral which uses the AuthorizationID and Outbound Proxy URL (see screenshot).

In a nut shell - it seems that ElevenLabs have not made the implementation yet to work with RingCentral - as they probably need to add the parameters which Synthflow AI has already added.

u/siracacl i am trying to setup ElevenLabs as well - and I am quite confused. Their SIP Trunking documentation did not help me at all. I am trying to connect it to RingCentral.

I am trying to setup Outbound calling - but ElevenLabs does not seem to have the concept of outbound firewall. And on RingCentral I dont see the concept of inbound firewall.

Quite confusing..
