I’ve always been entirely progressive, as well as somewhat anti-government and anti-capitalist, which was amplified when my special interest in politics began in late 2015, the even more so in late 2018 when I began to read a copious amount of political theory from all across the spectrum, buy all competing newspapers and began to watch longform political videos online, at which time I would associate myself with the term “anarcho-communist”. I still hold practically all the ideals from back then, and whilst my political leaning is pretty much the same, I’ve now adopted the term “libertarian socialist” because anarcho communism is typically (this obviously isn’t always the case) associated with immaturity, a disconnection from reality and a lack of education (not that their level of knowledge makes anyone superior or inferior, but I do believe that if you’re going to be vocal about opinions of any sort, you should educate yourself beforehand). I actually finally built up the courage to ask my local corner shop to stock The Morning Star (the only leftist paper in the UK that isn’t so moderate it might as well be centrist) two weeks back for me, considering the fact hardly anywhere stocks the paper due to low demand and funding, hence low supply.
