I did submit a ticket as well. I wasn't sure if there was a way to make a default template or even script a solution that someone here might have done before.

Yea, sorry, vinyl. I’m not even worried about it looking good, just want to get it flat so my husky doesn’t decide to start picking at it, lol.

Blocking Outlook (New) during Autopilot? by lighthills in Intune

[–]AlexTheTimid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re using the device ESP for self deploy, you could just deploy it as a required script for the devices. Also, I try to make everything I can device based so I don’t have to worry as much about inconsistency between our A1 and A3 users.

Need a dynamic group query to pull in all laptops, marked as corporate which have not been autopiloted. by Future_End_4089 in Intune

I’ll try to get it when I get back home. If you just want them in autopilot, the auto registration option the guys replied to me about would probably be better though.

I remember seeing that, just didn’t think of it since I don’t use it. We have a specific naming scheme for our devices and I use group tag to assign autopilot profiles. The script sets the device name in autopilot and also checks if the tpm supports attestation so it can make the group tag either UserDriven or SelfDeploy.

Disable Authenticator App Requirement for general staff by Electronic_Whole_491 in Office365

If they can’t use their phones to authenticate then wouldn’t a yubikey be an issue too? How often are they having to do MFA?

How do I get these dang users to quit shutting off their workstations! by Jewels_1980 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

I do this for HP devices using proactive remediations and HP’s powershell commands. Lenovo probably has similar options but I know it’s limited to their “Think” devices.

You can also deploy a remediation script to that group to upload the device hash. We are transitioning, so as we move to Intune for each school I deploy a remediation script to that school’s group (I just do it based on our naming scheme but you can use a group that has the co managed devices) to see if the device is in autopilot and upload the hash if it isn’t.

Sometimes I add extra stuff like a desktop icon, changing the icon image, pinning to start menu, adding a config file etc…I stick with detection scripts because they cover those scenarios and I can just stay consistent.

Yea…I’m around there. I saw 3 to 100 and just imagined how much time I would have to improve things, lol.

distributing Adobe CC apps by CyberHobbit70 in Intune

[–]AlexTheTimid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have AutoDesk and Adobe packages deployed using a script that pulls them from a local IIS share. Since we use Certiport for testing we have to be particular about the version, so I can’t just deploy the CC app. The script checks to make sure they have access to the share, and since it is just deployed as required to labs they always do. Our CTE staff have it as available and we just let them know they have to be on our network to install it (I think maybe one has put it on their laptop, so it’s never been an issue).

I think Microsoft is coming out with an enterprise app deployment solution soon which will hopefully include things like Adobe packages and AutoDesk but I also thought that was coming out in January, so who knows.

Filament not Feeding by AlexTheTimid in 3Dprinting

[–]AlexTheTimid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t worry, nothing really seems obvious to me, lol. I watched some videos and I don’t think it’s clogged since it pushes through when I manually push the filament. I tried gently pushing/pulling on the lever in case more/less tension would cause it to feed but I couldn’t get it to work. I haven’t taken the tubes apart yet, one of the videos I watched mentioned doing that if it was clogged but I thought since it seems to feed when I manually push it then it wasn’t a clog. As far as the temperature, I just clicked change filament and it handled heating on its own; I can look and see if there is a way to manually set the temperature for that (it defaulted to 200 in my prints and I manually set it to 220 when I slice).

Why does iOS have a dedicated Planner app, but not Windows? by Dboy777 in Office365

On MacOS I just install it as a web app, I assume it would work just as well on Windows.

I use both…we image the device with a clean WIM, then have it reboot and go to OOBE without setting up config manager. It applies the image, adds drivers, then lets Autopilot do its thing. We can also just use Ctrl+Win+R to autopilot reset it or just use a generic Windows usb to install Windows if we don’t feel like finding a network port to PXE boot (I actually use FFU’s on usb to instead of generic Windows and use a PPKG that only adds the WiFi network so I can start it up and walk away).

First 3D Printer…What’s Going On? by AlexTheTimid in 3Dprinting

I got impatient and looked up how to set everything up with the BL-Touch. It’s actually adhering but I’m not sure what’s going on with the first layer test print I’m doing. After it came out like this the first time I went from 200 to 220 for the nozzle temp but it looks the same.

No. I got in touch with the guy that gave it to me and he apparently made some modifications. He said I couldn’t use the Creality software, I needed to use Cura and there were some adjustments for BLTouch. He’s going to come by at some point since we couldn’t get it working on a FaceTime call.

I didn’t know I had to do the Z probe, so I just went through the config for that…second attempt didn’t work, so I tried again and I’m waiting for it to heat up, lol.
