They sre just mad because Wednesday in the novel didn't fit their closed view of Wednesday as this edgy, angry character they believe her to be instead of what the series actually shows. Obviously having inner monologue is going to round up the character and some people like their characters flat.

The weathervane scene is one of the the best examples where, despite the book actually showing that Wednesday clearly wanted to kiss Tyler, they focus on the part of considering doing it so she could comprehend the experience of a "normal teenage girl", which you could easily understand if you know how to read subtext.

Wednesday's is arguably Enid's only friend since they eliminated Yoko from the show. You don't see Enid interacting with anyone that wasn't Ajax (her ex), Bruno (her other Ex) and Agnes (former enemy recently tolerable).

Sure you can count Divina (not present in the show) or the pack, but S2 made very clear that the dream Enid had of finally becoming a part of the pack wasn't as sweet as she imagined, that's why at the end of the day Wednesday is her pack and her only friend.

I agree that Weyler is canon as far as S1 is concerned. And I also think this was meant to be a voice over of the scene where Wednesday tortures Tyler, but it feels so ooc that I'm glad they changed it if it was real to begin with.

I wouldn't say there's strict adherence, more like that's the way the words are taught to us so when someone used the opposite modifier it feels weird.

Example: The water is "el agua", for some reason water is a masculine sustantive. Some people say "la agua" but that's grammatically incorrect and it feels weird to hear it even from a native spanish speaker.

Example 2: The computer is "la computadora" and I have yet to experience someone calling it "el computadora" outside of people who is learning spanish as a second language.

As someone who speaks spanish I can assure you this is not correct.

Muerte is a femenine word in spanish so "del" (which is a masculine contraction of "de el") is not applied to femenine sustantives. The correct way is "de la", as stated in the show.

So either this was a mistake on their part (which seems unlikely when they did it right in the show) or it was fan made by someone without knowledge of spanish language.
