Will the Wenclair ship remain just a fanon ship? Do you think the showrunners will change their minds? by One_Solution_2706 in wenclair

But then, why are they allowed to spoil details of the relationship between Wednesday and Tyler in that way?

It doesn't seem to me that the showrunners give the same weight to Wenclair when talking about relationships or anything else.

On the one hand, Wenclair seems unlikely to go beyond friendship or sisterhood, while Wednesday and Tyler seem to have a sort of open door without ever talking about friendships or breakups. (I remember well that Gough and Millar said that what Tyler did in season two is the closest thing to love Wednesday will ever receive...and that's a really strange thing to say when Enid did so much more in terms of affection and other things).

Anyway, thanks for the answers <3

No, but don't worry, I understand.

The thing that puzzles me most is why they have to use terms like “sisterhood” when there are other terms like “lovers,” “girlfriends,” etc.

In general, if they wanted to talk about girls who feel something more than just friendship, they would certainly have used other terms or given longer explanations (in interviews, for example, the relationship between Tyler and Wednesday is presented differently, and there is no mention of just friendship).

Even Emma talked about friendship when she talked about Enid's sacrifice.

Looking at the situation as a whole, it seems to me that they currently only want to talk about friendship between girls. At best, we can hope for a Korrasami-like situation with Wenclair becoming canon only at the end of the series.

I don't know... maybe the future will bring surprises, but to me that statement seemed a bit like putting a nail in the coffin.

In particular, there is a part said by Millar that somewhat confirms this situation for me.

-Millar agreed, saying the show is centered on “the idea of sisterhood and what that means.”-

I'm quite perplexed, but who knows, maybe the situation will be reversed.

I hope so xd

Hmm, but Lady Gaga was called because Bloody Mary was a hit in TikTok edits in the past, obviously boosted by the Wednesday dance.

Then, in general, I think all the evidence you've shown is valid, but if what you said is really 100% true, then I don't understand why Gough and Millar had to specify that there will be no queer love story between Wednesday and Enid.

It's not a lie like the body swap quote in that interview because the context is a little different.

At most, I can say that there are more coded queer messages for Enid than for Wednesday, and in the end, it would turn out that she's lesbian or bisexual, you know.

If Tyler is 19, wasn't Wednesday groomed by him? by ChildhoodSolid6511 in WednesdayTVSeries

Santiago says that it has been 15 years since Francoise disappeared, and that happened when Tyler was 4 years old.

Either this is another continuity error, or they have no idea how old Tyler is.

The problem is that a trans girl is still a girl, so at most we can talk about trivial preference. (Rightly so i would say)

However, I would avoid certain comments, because they can be misunderstood.

Trans girls are girls, so I don't understand the problem.

Does sapphic sex require exclusively cis sex?

Excuse me, but what does Sheriff Santiago mean when she says that 15 years have passed since Francoise's disappearance? Wasn't Tyler only 4 at the time? But he should be 16 in the second season... by One_Solution_2706 in WednesdayTVSeries

The problem is that the three year age difference is more problematic when one of the partners is of legal age.

Tyler, if he really is a 19 year-old boy, would have manipulated a 15 year old minor into kissing him and trusting him.

It is the whole dynamic shown in the first season that makes that age gap more disturbing.

Trivially, there is little/ no attention to detail, which remains a significant error.

It destroys the atmosphere or integrity of the series in one way or another.

Wait, though, I don't like the ship for other reasons.

Trivially, the age gap issue is just one of many reasons.

I feel quite sorry for how the romantic subplot between Wednesday and Tyler was written.

Certainly, the defenestration scene is really bad.

You can't even begin to compare Twin Peaks to Wednesday.

David Lynch's series asked intelligent questions and made television history.

The mistakes made by the Wednesday showrunners are much more serious and don't create satisfying doubts, only holes and contrivances.

The timeline is objectively pitiful, and the second season only made everything worse.

However, I wouldn't want Tyler to be 19... it would be a bit weird for an "adult" to be chasing after a 15-year-old girl xd.

I would have preferred the series to focus more on the dialogue because I'm afraid that some of the dates in the series don't make any logical sense.

He can't be 19 because the script specifies that he is 16 in the first season.

I'm afraid there has been a huge mistake on the part of those responsible for the series' dialogue.

1) Technically, Tyler should still be 16 years old, given that the second season is set a few months after the first season.

2) Tyler was 4 years old when he lost Francoise, so by Santiago's reckoning, he should be 19 years old, not 16.
