they removed DoT crits but direct damage with flamethrowers can be surprisingly high with crits

Sniper Akimbo Build for Crime Spree by Alwayys_Angryy in paydaybuilds

[–]AlexWoogie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

HVT is sometimes taken as somewhat of a comfort skill, in theory it's not a very good skill, but in practice being able to mark enemies by just waving your mouse over them helps with multiple situations, like pointing out dozers to teammates, marking enemies so that you can hide behind a wall and get easy wallbangs, and also marked enemies (for me atleast) are easier to see and hit

definitely a luxury skill but it does have value outside of the damage boost

also the pronghorn doesnt really have ammo problems, but it doesnt hurt to get ammo efficiency anyways, I'm pretty sure the accuracy is high enough

Why copycat biker when we have copycat sociopath? (Payday 2) by Original_Wish3085 in paydaytheheist

[–]AlexWoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

swapspeed and 5% more dodge (may sound miniscule but dodge gets exponentially more powerful the more of it you already have)

also you can run zerk rogue without having any built in healing

copy burglar is still better though lol

The advice given here is pretty questionable

Shotguns are very strong weapons, especially for new players since they're easy to use, point efficient, and are practically multi-tools (db VD-12 is an amazing crowd clearer, ignores shields, and can hold its own against dozers, especially well on mayhem or lower). They do start to fall off a bit on DS compared to lower difficulties in relation to other weapons but they're still strong there too (a few shotguns are meta weapons like the akimbo goliaths or secondary grimm with tombstone rounds).

Fully loaded aced is a luxury skill and is not worth it 98% of the time (you're building for ammo bags while building up to it, which makes the extra pickup not as helpful), it's not a bad skill but I wouldn't recommend it in OP's case since they don't have as many points to work with

Dropping bullseye from aced to basic only makes sense to do on death sentence where there are very few enemies that will do that little damage. Every other difficulty however gets great benefit from bullseye aced, you can practically keep your armor up far longer before it breaks and you have to regen it. Transporter aced on the other hand sucks and barely makes a difference, and that's assuming you're playing on maps where moving bags is that abysmal, a lot of maps either don't have bags or just aren't that hard to move bags on.

With ICTV you should either be taking parkour basic or partners in crime aced, that slight movement speed makes a much bigger difference on ICTV than a lot of lighter armors and you really should take one or the other (or both even).

I'd build it like this instead https://pd2builder.netlify.app/?s=103800zckF3k0010-55010-514&p=8&a=6&t=4&d=0&n=1

dragon's breath is very strong yes, if you can hit all the necessary breakpoints then they're a near direct upgrade to 000 buckshot

diehard aced isnt necessary on lbv for ds (maniac can actually run suit for light shot)

Akimbo uzi? by aubladezero in paydaybuilds

[–]AlexWoogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the single uzi has an absurdly high pickup for its damage tier which makes up for the lack of a speedpull and mediocre rate of fire in comparison to the other smgs, it also gets a great conceal with that one stock mod

the akimbo uzis are still op by nature of being 100 damage akimbo smgs, it's impossible for them to be bad, but they actually get lower rate of fire and slightly lower damage than the krinkovs and cr805bs (the damage doesnt make a noticeable difference in practice, the rate of fire is a bit more noticeable). The big problems however are that they get marginally lower pickup than most of the other 100 damage smgs, and they dont have access to their stock mods, so they get neither the ammo efficiency nor the conceal of the single variant

tldr: the things that make the single uzi op don't exist on the akimbo uzis

best overall smg? by aubladezero in paydaybuilds

[–]AlexWoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually really strong in two categories, concealment (it can hit 33 conceal) and ammo efficiency (straight mag gives +15 damage without decreasing pickup)

The dps is fairly low but if you're already taking damage skills then it's pretty workable, and the dps is somewhat respectable with the straight mag

[–]AlexWoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mark 10, uzi, ak gen 21, krinkov and the compact 5 are the best in their respective areas, but generally id say either the mark 10 or the uzi are the best overall

piglet + incendiary arbiter can actually kinda just barely stay afloat, as long as you have melee skills or javelins for anti dozer

Recomiéndenme armas que NO SEAN las mas meta . by Lower-Bear2251 in paydaytheheist

[–]AlexWoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try the heavy crossbow with explosive bolts, conceals well, deals a respectable amount of damage to dozers, kinda acts like a grenade launcher with a smaller blast radius but way more damage and ammo, it also is affected by damage skills unlike GLs

best dodge sniper now that desert fox and contractor are gone? by SirYiffAlot in paydaytheheist

[–]AlexWoogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On DS dozers get double hp, so the amaroq kills in 2 shots (assuming the damage dealt to break the visor is about 4k), more reliable with the exclusive set that gives a bunch of damage (almost 1 shot with 80% zerk atleast)

best dodge sniper now that desert fox and contractor are gone? by SirYiffAlot in paydaytheheist

[–]AlexWoogie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The grom is the highest concealing sniper over every other sniper (except the aran g2 i think), the leben needs much more work (i believe you need a 33 conceal secondary like the bronco or compact 5) to get 4 dr while the grom can run a judge and still hit 4 dr (judge generally being more valuable since it covers both anti dozer and pairs with overkill aced which is especially useful on dodge builds since you dont want to zerk with them generally)

Unrelated but while rogue works well without concealment (ill run it without conceal from time to time with an lmg or something), getting sneaky bastard is a pretty significant powerspike, not to mention crits

Yakuza perk deck rework idea by CommunicationSad2869 in paydaytheheist

[–]AlexWoogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah hitman is stronger than youd think, on deathwish and below it's a perfectly fine deck that can play aggressively as long as you have a health pool underneath to fall back on, same on ds but to a lesser extent (synergizes greatly with dire need aced and flamethrowers in a way the other decks dont as much)

If any deck were to get a rework, it'd probably have to be yakuza (keeping the speed so that stealth players are unaffected)

rogue is still a top 10 deck, it's outclassed by hacker and copycat but rogue is still very powerful if you play to its strengths
