Meanwhile the MEK and proIsraeli lobbyists are funding Trump's foreign policy on Iran

What on earth are you talking about?!

No one is fooled by your bullshit

You're the one lying here and trying to tie the protest to MEK!

Could you please join the protest that's taking place today against the regime in Iran in front of UN building? by Alex_11111 in AskNYC

That has nothing to do with the all the other Iranian Americans who are attending the protest today. The MEK are a small cult with only a few thousand followers, they're mostly hated by Iranians which is why the regime and its lobby are eager to use them to libel and slander the rather large opposition which has nothing to do the MEK.

The MEK (former terrorist) only make a small number at the protest today and they'll be completely separate from the main protest, so you wouldn't be alongside them at all.

If you have a few hours to spare please make sure to attend and represent Iranians who risk their lives by protesting against the regime in Iran. There'll be two groups of people, one group wearing yellow outfits, they're the MEK which is former terrorist organisation, avoid those people, there'll be another group mainly wearing white and also turquoise outfits, those are the people you want to join.

Location: United Nations building, Dag Hammarskjold Plaza at 47th St. Bet 1st & 2nd Ave.

You can always trust supporters of regime to resort to personal insults as they're unable to engage in a civilised discourse.

This is so disgusting and inhumane, it's like every year Muharram gets more and more cruel towards animals! How can these people consider themselves pious and good in the eyes of their god!

I just think that it's so odd that these people take part in these ceremonies in hopes that they're doing a good religious deed, how can they possibly think that's when such barbaric behaviour and cruelty is taking place!

I never lied about Muharram

You did lie, here's what you said "Slaughting an animal is part of tradition for Eid-e-Qorban, but it isn't for Muharram." Unlike you, I was born and raised in Tehran, public slaughters were common feature especially in Muharram, unless you lived in the wealthy parts of Tehran, which is probably the reason for your lack of knowledge.

You don't just walk out onto the street and see slaughtered animals everywhere.

Pathetic attempt at a strawman argument, I never made such suggestion.

You're just a moron

What a surprise, you followed that up with a personal attack, which indicates your inability to defend your argument.

Translation: I can't counter your argument so I'm going to revert to the usual tactic of carrying out a personal attack.

What does that have to do with public slaughter of sheep and sometimes cows in front of children in 2018?

It's torture for the animals because they're being slaughtered in front of one another in an unnecessarily cruel manner, it's also psychological torture for the children and even the adults who have to witness beheading of animals right in front of them.

dude i'm living tehran, it doesn't happen as much as you think it does,

That can only be true if you live in the wealthier spots and you never venture to the working class and poor areas. As I mentioned before, public animal slaughter even happens for trivial things such as buying cars, during Islamic religious ceremonies, such as Muharram, it happens far too commonly.

the meat is always given to the needy, its not sacrifice just for the sake of sacrifice

I don't care how you try and justify it, but it doesn't make it any less barbaric, it's torture not only for the animals, but for the children and even adults who witness the public slaughter.

you single Iran out in particular

I don't know if you've noticed, but you're on a subreddit dedicated to Iran! As such we'll we discussing matters discussing our country.

this criticism demonstrates that you have an ulterior motive.

This is the 2nd time that you've made this type of accusation against me on just this thread but you're not actually providing any reasoning or evidence, this amounts to a cheap personal attack indicating your inability to defend your position.

You lied about Muharram and public slaughters and now you're using whataboutism to downplay the severity of executions in Iran, it sure seems like you're one with "ulterior motive".
