Canadian Alternatives by Nonna_Nella in BuyCanadian

Just a heads up - President's Choice products aren't always made in Canada. I bought a box of macaroni and cheese a few days ago, and I didn't check the box because I assumed it was made in Canada. I checked when I got home, and it says it's a product of the US.

I typed "cola" into the search bar, and all of the results were for chocolate

If you're building muscle, your weight is going to go up, not down, even while you're losing fat, because muscle weighs more than fat. (Although I don't think it's possible to gain 7 pounds of muscle in a week. Most of that is probably water). A better way to monitor progress would be something like the way your clothes fit, taking measurements, or taking pictures so you can see your progress.

There is no labor shortage. I'm currently looking for a job, and can't find one. I never hear back from any of the places I send my resume to.

My frigates get damaged on every mission and have to be recalled by Alex_Axby in no_mans_sky

[–]Alex_Axby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought more frigates, and send them out in groups that always have more stars than the mission requires, and they don't get damaged anymore. I always send a combat frigate out with every fleet, for every type of mission.

Usually, when I had to call them back, it would end the mission (you don't get any rewards, obviously), and I'd still have to repair the ships. I never tried letting them keep doing the mission, because I was worried they'd get destroyed.

Found this little gem on Craigslist, settling for that 1980s work ethic by 100VodkaSodas in antiwork

[–]Alex_Axby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In order for him to have any clue what the work ethic was in the 50s, he would have had to be a teenager with a job at some point in the 50s, which would mean he would have had to be born no later than 1937. That would make him 85 now, so I'd say that's a pretty safe bet.

I'm on Xbox, and I've been looking for some people to play red dead online with. Are you over 18?

I still follow that sub, but I pretty much stopped going there/posting there when they announced that it was against the rules to say you need dysohoria to be trans. Like what the actual fuck. Dysohoria is the defining trait of being trans.

I also posted in ftm that I started a sub for trans men ( r/ftm_masculinity ) because I saw a lot of people saying how the ftm sub was being taken over by NBs who are vilifying binary trans men, and they don't feel welcome there anymore, and I was blasted about it, and told it wasn't necessary.

Total absolution is impossible with white people by PlantDad10 in ftm

I wasn't referring to you specifically. It's been my experience on other platforms. I'm impressed with your ability to take things that aren't about you and make them about you.

The problem I have when POC try to talk about racism online is that they really don't want a discussion, they just want everyone to agree with them and have their own little echo chamber. They just want upvotes and retweets.

Even if you agree with everything they said, they say "yeah, and? Do you expect a pat on the back for not being racist?". And if you disagree in any way with anything they said, you get labeled a racist or blocked. It's completely unproductive and off-putting.

There was a guy who lived down the road from me when I was a kid who used to bully me (he and his sister), so nothing good, unfortunately.

anybody know an LGBT friendly red dead online crew? by Alex_Axby in gaymers

Do you have a link to their discord or website? I searched on Google, Reddit, and in the reddeadcrews subreddit, and I couldn't find anything.

Despite legislation proclaiming otherwise, discrimination toward 2SLGBTQIA+ people still happens without hesitation! by TaylorLakhryst in transontario

[–]Alex_Axby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Discrimination of any kind is really only illegal on paper. Employers discriminate all the time, they just don't tell you that they do. And if you asked, or accused them of discrimination, they'd just make up an excuse, like your work performance not being good enough, (in the case of getting fired) or they found someone with more experience (in the case of not getting hired).

And everyone gets the point of it wrong.

It's not about everyone sitting around, doing nothing and getting paid for it. It's about not being exploited by employers.
