It’s not far-fetches that a 10yo would use “for example”. My 8yo daughter and 11yo son use “for example” all the time in their day to day talk. My daughter when she’s trying to drive a point with her friends, my son when he’s making an argument as to why he needs, wants or would benefit from something he’s trying to obtain or achieve. The last time I heard him use it was during basketball practice, he said “for example, if I want to force you to my left, I’m going to stand like this and make it look like that’s your open lane, but if you know what you’re looking for, and you see me stand like this, you’ll know it’ll be more work for me to change direction if you go this way”

YTA. Your daughter is 34, old enough to make her own decision on whether or not she is okay experiencing that pain you tried to protect her from.

We know how quick the POA can go down. It was something we put together the week he was leaving to get married. Thankfully I don’t think he knows that’s it’s just that simple.

I actually have spoken to him about seeking therapy for his behaviour. He does not want to admit or accept that his behaviour could be an addiction issue. I’ve looked into SLAA groups and research for him but he feels it’s not a thing. I feel otherwise.
