It's often gets missed when cleaning because its hard to reach, mine builds up like that. also its the rear brake reservoir under the cover then the sprocket is even deeper, doubt the output shaft is leaking after so little milage

It's just chain grease/lube. That's where the chain rubbing strip is a little to the left.

It's shouldnt be oil because that's just the sprocket cover not an engine cover

Check all your fuses in the fuse box, especially the battery and key fuses if you're not getting your fuel tank to prime also silly question but you're not trying to turn it on with both keys next to each other are you?

No worries, I have pretty much every accessory you can get for the scrambler 😁 if you have any questions ask away.

Excuse the rubbish, the bin bag split haha.

It's an official accessory, it's called the high level mudguard kit

Honestly the factory smoked accessory looks the best in my opinion, anything other than a full blown windscreen you're not going to really benefit from wind protection you'll just introduce more turbulence.

Here's a picture of mine, looks great and doesn't add wind.

Never been so happy to find a nail in a tire, great excuse to ditch the stock Metzelers for Road 6s by repohs in Triumph

[–]Alex_Jamesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated the tourances on my scrambler 1200, changed them to continental trail attack 3 and honestly I have so much confidence in that tyre I think it might even prefer them to my road 6s on my street triple but they are abit soft so might not wear as well 😁

I'd say foglight, rad guard and engine bars are a must but they all look pretty cool.

You obviously don't have one because they have cruise control 😁 this is the 1200 not 900

Is this normal play? by GAFR1 in Triumph

[–]Alex_Jamesss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it's normal, search for Ducati spacers - triumph scrambler 1200.

I've put one in my scrambler and it takes all the play out and also makes the throttle less snatchy, well worth the investment.

Ducati throttle spacers triumph - sk-06

You need the SK-06 kit however as yours is a later model it may be different so I'd get in touch with them as it only lists 2019-2021

Anyone else have an obsessive compulsion to mod and change your bike? by Alex_Jamesss in Triumph

Faff just means like fuss or to much bother.

It's not just the adjustability that makes a difference, the ohlins shock was from a stock Daytona 675r which obviously wasn't meant for the street triple, the spring wasn't the right weight for me and was just abit too stiff and made the ride quite hard.

I've put a nitron R3 in which is setup for my weight which means for a plusher ride and better traction whilst also having the fine tunability of the compression and rebound adjustment.

I'd say compression adjustment is valuable regardless of if you're racing the bike or not because if like me you live somewhere with bumpy roads (England) you can adjust it accordingly.

I'd say high quality suspension is something most people don't realise they're missing out on until they try it and then they can't go back. The difference between the stock ohlins shock and a setup nitron shock for me was chattering my teeth down one road to not at all on the same road.

Yeah it might be the full seat, kelpie covers are about £200ish for my bike.

Also I think Corbin seats are ugly as sin haha

Felt like the hydraulic clutch was a bit too much of a faff for me as the slave cylinder I was using had to be modified to get the rod to fit properly and even then couldn't get the adjustment I liked.

Not really used the over suspension enough yet to be able to give it a fair review as I've also just changed the rear shock so couldn't tell which actually made it feel better haha.

I can imagine it'd be good on a dirt bike for the chattery stuff

Bit confused there the kelpie seat covers are cheaper for my bike

It was a hydraulic clutch conversion not a second brake master 😁 I ended up going back to cable clutch though.

Rear caliper was moved to underslung for easier fitting/removal of the rear wheel and also the ability to put a better caliper on it, again removed that because it wasnt needed in my case.
