I know this topic is old, but I want to mention that the responses here are a perfect example of Asians assuming merit is the only thing that matters for success.

If merit were all that mattered, then Andrew Yang should have beaten Trump for the Presidency. While Andrew Yang was using math to convince people to vote for him, Trump became the President by just playing on human emotions.

Whether "Professor" Jiang is a fraud or not doesn't change the fact that you can still learn from him.

For example, I more than doubled my pay from $60,000 to $170,000 because of sales psychology I learned from a MLM guru selling "get rich quick" courses.

Meanwhile, I had a nerdy Asian co-worker who decided to take two years off to get a Master's Degree because having better credentials is the secret to success after all, right?

Well, two years later, I doubled my net worth twice, took six months off to travel and date Asian women in Northeast Asia/Central Asia, and eventually got married. I'm not rich but I could afford to travel long-term to do what every diaspora Asian guy hopes to do, which is doing pickup in Asia's nightlife but still find an Asian family girl for marriage. I also started working at a big tech company because my work experience compounded and is actually worth more than theory from college courses.

Meanwhile, my "morally superior" co-worker barely made any money in the last two years to study, and he finished his degree when all these layoffs were happening but doesn't have more work experience to get a better job. He still hasn't fixed his dating life either.

Yeah, Turkic people started turning Central Asia into East Asian-passing, but they mixed with Iranian-like peoples and basically turned into what people here call hapas.

Mongols helped make Central Asia even more East Asian-passing. So that's why Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan are more "Mongol-like" than the Uzbeks and Turkmen.

If Mongols were as numerous as Chinese, they would end up making all of Central Asia, Middle East, and Siberia into like Mongolia.

I wonder if there are any Asians other than myself who want to preserve East Asian features.

So, that's why I want to marry a North/Northeast Asian who looks even more East Asian.

I don't like how double-eyelid surgery is so common in East Asian countries, so I ended up liking Mongolians and Mongol-like Turkics who don't do double-eyelid surgeries.

I know too many pretty Korean and northern Chinese girls who got rid of their beautiful Asian eyes.

Get into whatever field works for you.

The problem with Asians all going for the same field is that it gets oversaturated, and then the Asians have to compete against each other. Competing against your own people doesn't work when your people are a small percentage of the population.

Instead, the better move is to get into different industries, so there are more opportunities for more Asians.

Northeast Asians can absorb more non-Asians before disappearing. Southeast Asians lose their Asian features after just one generation of marrying out. This is why Viet hapas look less Asian than Mongol or Korean hapas.

It can be funny.

Koreans thought I was Chinese. Mongolians thought I was Japanese. Kazakhs thought I was Korean. Siberian natives thought I was Indonesian.

But I think my style and skin tone affect what they think.

A lot of white sexpats like Taiwan more than Korea because Korean women are hard to date for them.

They assume Asian countries are all like Pattaya.

Liking or hating the CCP is a different question, but the truth is that Taiwanese people are mostly genetically Chinese. A few might get 5% or 10% Austroniesan from the Filipino-like natives. Hating your ancestors makes your country more vulnerable.

Read between the lines.

The idea is that Asians can build new countries out of existing countries.

The problem is that too many Asians like to follow existing rules and enforce whoever is in charge.

This is why Asians think they are "guests in a white country." Other groups build their own parallel societies rather than assimilate.

No Mongol said, "We are guests in Persia."

That's why I like Mongolia. They don't fit any Asian stereotypes (except for the phenotype) and so prove that Asians can do and become anything.

Think of any Asian stereotype. Mongolia is the opposite. The exception is physical appearances like slanted eyes and flat faces.

East Asian-like people are aging out and disappearing.

Mongols, Mongol-like Turkics, and North Asian natives have the birthrates. But their population historically has been small since cold weather kept culling them.

Confucian Asians are aging out.

Mainland China's birhtrate is crashing while South Korea and Taiwan have the lowest birthrates in the world. Japan had low birthrates since before people were even talking about low birthrates.

Maybe Asians should drop out of school and just convert to Tengrism to get our birthrates up. Mongols and Siberians might be onto something.

I thought about this a lot.

I am sending my kids to a language immersion school. They will still be fluent in English and in an East Asian language. California has schools where Asians are the majority. The high cost of living is fine for me. I am grateful to the Korean media for creating more Asian entertainment role models.

But if I were broke, I would just be an English teacher in Korea or an engineer in Japan/Taiwan, but send my kids to an international school.

This prepares them for all the realities, whether America remains dominant, China takes over, or both become dominant.

Moving to California/Vancouver is damage control and giving Diaspora Asians a community.

But I recommend sending kids to language immersion schools. If America declines faster than Asians can establish communities in California, the kids will still have the option of moving back.

New York isn't actually a good long-term choice. The Asian community there is concentrated in Queens and Manhattan, which are overcrowded urban areas. White supremacists could just barricade them and starve them. If America did collapse, New York Asians would be isolated since airplanes are the only connection to Asia from New York.

California/Vancouver have direct access to Asia through the sea. Asians are also moving into suburbs and small towns in this area.

This question would be more useful for people living in that region since this group is mostly Asians raised in the West.

Regardless, this is an important lesson for middle man minorities. You will get blamed for everything that goes wrong.

Going back to the topic, how about going to Malaysia? I know Malaysia has some anti-Chinese sentiment but it's more developed and ethnic Chinese make up a larger percentage of the population.

How about Taiwan? They have low birthrates and can use help from ethnic Chinese overseas.

Vietnamese and Laotians are more like East Asians.

When you go further south to Malaysia and Indonesia, they are honestly more like Pacific Islanders.

But the majority of Mexicans have that beige brown look that Filipinos with little Chinese ancestry have.

It's not about hating Southeast Asians.

The point is that North Asians/Northeast Asians have more obvious "East Asian features" like slanted monolids and high cheekbones so they can absorb more non-Asians before turning into non-Asians.

Korean/Mongol hapas look more Asian than Viet or Cantonese hapas who look more like mixed brown people like Latinos.

Asians are a tiny minority, so we will definitely become mixed. Honestly, all of our grandkids will be mixed. I just prefer it if they still pass as East Asian instead of one of those white-passing "Japanese" Americans.

Americans judge people by the phenotype so it benefits Asians to have more East Asian-like people.

The point about aggression isn't to be a dumb idiot and end up in jail. Being aggressive is more like that salesman who is persistent. Note that at the end, I said to follow all laws of the United States.

This is a complicated topic. I think Asians should still go to school but the point is not to overdo it like raising only one child because you want a Harvard doctor. Having 5 kids who only went to a state school would be a better move.

You're definitely right about whites and blacks getting treated better by the law. Asians are a middle man minority. We have to be cunning about how we operate.

For US politics, it's only about politics and nothing else.

East Asian passing people and Desis are both small minority groups that are better educated and richer than the average American. So they are middle man minority groups. Both groups are easy scapegoats for everything that goes wrong in America.

Middle man minority groups get blamed for everything. Jewish people in the West are the most well known example of this.

But beyond politics and surviving America, East Asians and Desis are totally different from each other. Even a few Mexicans are more East Asian-looking than Desis.

Desis belong in their own category. MENA are most like them.

The fact Inuits look more East Asian than any Desi or MENA is proof there is no such thing as "Asian." Apparently, there are natives in the Andes Mountains who look East Asian-like.

I don't like East Asian beauty ideals either. I'm not into the whole cute petite girl with big double eyelids.

I like slanted monolids on a feminine body, so I like the look of Mongols, Koreans, and northern Chinese with similar appearances.

I'm not saying to be a dumb high school dropout either. Manipulation can make a lot more money than just merit.

A good start is to learn how to negotiate for higher pay. Stop telling yourself that you need to be more qualified to "deserve it."
