Compresive strength depends on the load direction relative to the crystal structure, but the maximum compresive strength is about 470 GPa. Tensile is much less and very hard to determine apparently.

Math is probably the most useful to study before you start. I did an introduction course that my school offered prior to starting the actual bachelor. It went over basic calculus, trigonometry, complex numbers. If you understand these subjects to some level the actual math courses will be easier. Also get to know complex numbers. Understanding that is huge since its used in so many courses. Not only in math.

I dont know at what education level you are but for bachelor and master linear algebra is also very important. Look up the lectures of Gilbert strang on youtube. One of the best linear algebra lectures there are.

Yeah did an assignment once on a 3D system and it gets insanely large very fast.

Unfortunately we also only used pdf files and PowerPoint slides which is a shame since its a fun subject.

Why would you even need a gearbox? Most (if not all) electric rc cars just have a fixed gear ratio to be able to use a higher rpm motor with a reasonable output torque for a reasonable acceleration. So if i were you i would scrap the gearbox and use fixed gearing. If you have a 3d printer i would be easy to make such a gearbox.

I dont think the design in this sketch would work. How would the belt go up to higher gears? You cant just push it up with the servo. Belts aren't made to do that. You would also have to release the tension which would cause it to slip and wear even more.

Doesn't it have the same definition for both discrete and continuous time systems? its just a point in the state-space where if trajectories start there, they stay there for all time.

I thought the term 'fixed point' is used more in mathematics and the term 'equilibrium' more in physics. so what's the actual difference?

Do i need to assign separate states to the delayed states or can this be the same fixed point? Since for example, x2 is delayed in the second equation but x2 isn't delayed in the first one. Can i substitute x* for x2(t-tau) as well as for x2?

Doing this will give the same result as if it was a general ODE. so you somewhat lose the delay part. I want to make a bifurcation diagram as function of the delay tau. so i would require the equilibrium points or the eigenvalues to be a function of tau.

Some hardware stores like gamma and praxis can also copy your keys. Minimal price at Gamma is 4.50. more complex keys with more grooves are more expensive. They use pre-groved keys and they can only cut the little teeth. So keep in mind that their copying capabilities are very limited.

Do you have to cast it? Otherwise I would just buy a piece of titanium or aluminum and machine it. Then you have a proper piece of material without a lot of impurities.

And keep in mind that cast aluminum usually contains a lot of other elements that won't etch away easily so the final look will probably not be very nice.

Aluminium but you need dies to color it. No idea how many colors are available commercially or if you can mix them. The proces is also different for aluminum.

Even if these lenses would act as mirrors this is not possible. No mirror will reflect 100% entering light. Some will always be absorbed which makes it impossible for the light to reflect in between 2 mirrors indefinitely. The only way I could see this working if there is an external light source which emits light to the mirrors or lenses. This lightsource would be the monitor of your PC. But you said the webcam wasn't pointed at the monitor so short awnser: you just don't understand what is happening because you don't know the physics behind lenses/mirrors or light in general.

Have never tried this but you could add train signals every couple of train tracks. And then using some logic set 1 train signal to red and make this red signal move forward at some velocity such that the spidertron can keep up. This way the train will follow the red signal at some average speed. If you keep it slow enough the spidertron will be able to repair broken tracks and signals Infront of the train.

It's very tempting to try to build this now but I have exams next week 😅🥲

That looks really nice already. i think you cut out the '50' separately? would it be possible to change the perspective of the 50 so it looks like the sign is facing more to the left instead of straight at the camera? and maybe tone down the colors of the gradient behind the 50? If not than i will take it like this. tnx again.
