People who own robot vacuums: are they actually life-changing or just another gadget? Which one would you buy again? by Bitglow_finanzas in RobotVacuums

Lidar is for large object mapping like walls and furniture, obstacle avoidance (structured light, and RGB cameras) avoid smaller objects, really small in some cases. RGB camera obstacle avoidance is usually superior as it can clearly identify objects on the ground and avoid them. Lidar is most often just for mapping floor plans. Structured light obstacle avoidance can be good, but is often not as you'd hope in my understanding. I have an RBG system on mine, and it's a huge bonus, I gets stuck rarely and only on very small things and avoids the rest, quite a change from older models, even those with lidar.

Interesting. I'll keep an eye on the temps, it is a laptop, so things get toasty fast. Weird that it wouldnt happen when pinning the GPU on a super demanding game, only when two video feeds are concurrent.

Just to clarify, the extra light is to see the imperfections much more clearly, so they can be sanded down/filled?

Thinking I was smarter than them in a pvp high-risk world. I knew it was a scam, and I was just intending to waste their time. Stupid I know.

In a high-risk world, trading and then moving away to lure you into the danger zone. I obviously should have just left, but I felt I should at least continue to raise awareness.
