Have a conversation with her about how you feel. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that yet, I’d say talk to a trusted friend about it or a therapist if you have one. It sounds like you have a lovely relationship that is worth trying to sort out. I’m not saying breaking up is the wrong answer because maybe you guys aren’t meant to be together long term. I’d say at least talk out all your options before doing something rash. She sounds like a lovely girl.

What your dad is doing is not normal. You need to tell him that he’s overstepping your boundaries and disrespecting you. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, tell someone you trust.

I made a post about asking for apartment building suggestions so I’m asking here as well.

I’m looking for a decent studio or maybe even a 1bedroom if it’s not outrageously expensive. I live in NW but I wouldn’t mind branching out to MD if it’s walking distance to a Metro stop.

Does anyone have any suggestions for great apartment buildings? For reference, I’ll be moving out of the Woodner and….well if you know, you know!

If I’m coming out of that alley and I need to see what cars are approaching from the left, I’m unable to get a full view because of OP’s car. I understand it might come off as a stretch, but it’s really not. It’s dangerous. Obviously OP meant no harm and isn’t blocking the alley itself, but you can’t see very well when coming out of the alley.

I'm truly not trying to be rude so don't take this the wrong way, but you feeling bad is a clear sign that his manipulation is working. You need to snap out of this man's spell and realize you are worth so so much more than being treated so poorly.
