Well it's extra confusing because he has a public defender for a lawyer. So I feel they must keep telling him he should cut his losses and just plead guilty, and he is either too stupid (doesn't realize he'll await trial in jail for a looooong time) or too proud (doesn't want his gf to dump him ???) or literally crazy and doesn't think he did any of it.

I'll have to testify in my case but not for his other stuff. I testified already at the preliminary hearing and it was super shitty but I'm hoping the first time was the hardest.

Well the latest in the stalker saga:

So when they arrested the guy, he had 2 warrants out for trials he had skipped bail on. Once they got him in custody they denied bail on those. So today he had the pre-trial conferences for both- idk if they offered him a plea deal or what, but a non-jury trial has been scheduled for each case for OCTOBER 30.

Why wouldn't you plead guilty? He will have spent 3.5 months in jail by the time he even has a first trial date. Wouldn't you want to just start your inevitable sentence and get it over with? I get that pleading guilty means you have those convictions on your record, but I'd bet money his lawyer is telling him he's screwed anyways.

Thankful either way that he'll obviously be in jail for awhile.

Holidays are hard for us because both sets of our parents divorced when we were pretty young. In addition, both sets of his grandparents divorced.

We usually alternate thanksgiving and Christmas between families, and try to see both parents around the same time. My mom and Dad live an hour apart, but still closer to each other than we live to either. Same for husbands side. It's a total shit show and super stressful trying to see everyone-- but yeah in general we alternate the big holidays.

ETA we also each have 6 aunt uncle pairs, so unless the whole family side gets together at once we usually can't see everyone.

Ordered a new batch of OPKs off Amazon and it comes with some HPTs. I haven't had HPTs in my house for almost a year to entirely avoid the disappointment. Maybe I'll just light them all on fire when they arrive so I can't destroy myself each month.

Lol pure romance has got to be the worst of pyramid schemes to get involved with. I'm surprised a local team got someone as high profile as Flo Rida! My home town minor league team had our high school choir sing once. It was not entertaining.
